Morning all.
Thanks for the well wishes for DD, she is much better although her eyes are still not back to normal and I have had a nervous breakdown trying to get ready to go and pose for my sister
Dh tried his best to reassure me that I was still beautiful but he's supposed to say that so I don't believe him, I just feel old and fat and frumpy this morning and as I didn't get the chance to practice with my new heated rollers I couldn't work out how to use them so my hair is just shoved back in it's normal old ponytail
I just wish they would all remember that as they've got older so have I and I might be the baby sister but I am still over forty now and not the 18 year old model they remember me as
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning everyone

Glad DD is getting there Moggins
PP- Blooming 'eck what a week ahead you have.
Well I have had a lovely start to the day. Today it is my "unofficial" birthday as OH is away on tuesday (so don't worry about birthday wishes!). I started themorning off with tea being brought to me in bed and the most thoughtful pressies I have ever received, including some fab new goodies for the kitchen (a grater, a pestle and Mortar and a Nigella Mezzaluna and knife) and some bits from "The Pier" which is my favourite shop as well as the new Amy Winehouse Cd. It didn't cost heaps which is what I wanted but I am chuffed to bits that my OH knows me so well...
We are now off for a yummy roast at the pub and I can see a birthday cake has been hidden at the back of the fridge so I guess we will be having that later. DS and I have a date on the sofa booked this afternoon to watch Ace Ventura Pet Detective so really no OS but I am allowed a day off
.
Have a good rest of your day everyone
And hugs if needed. 0 -
Good afternoon all
Still in my PJ's, with my pint of tea and have just consumed large quantities of cheese on toast. I was going to make a brunch and DS2 requested bacon butties, but Mr TM ate all the bacon (6 rashers!!)
I awake at 6,(thanks DS2) and up at 7 making brekkie for them but retired back to my pit where I managed to snooze somewhat and then watch lots of UK food progs :j It means I have even more to do this afternoon, but who cares
So, apologies for not knowing what's been going on but I haven't had time to venture into the daily for aaaages. (((hugs))) to those who are ill or who have lost someone and congrats to others as needed. I've been really busy this past week and when I do venture onto MSE, I literally have 5 mins to have a quick peek at a couple of threads then I go.
Today - I need to do the ironing (5 loads of washing yesterday) plus finish the washing. DW an BM need to go on and I'd best defrost something for tea - pork chops I think. Homework needs supervising and both boys have to dress up as some sort of character or other at school tomorrow, so I'll have to sort that soon too - I'm not running round at 8.30 looking for pirates masks or Darth Vaders cloak!
Right, I've just put my Karine Polwart CD on, so I have a while to mooch around the tiniternet
Take care everyone

Not gone to Tesco. Looked at my list & my 2 kids & decided that the stuff could wait till tomorrow!

Pre MSE I would have gone anyway. Without a list as well. And bought !!!!!!!

Good Afternoon All
Hope we are well - Glorious sunshine here today, but yet cold
Wrapped all my items which sold on ebay last night (the one's who paid anyway) ready to post on Monday. OH cleared the shed out again, ready for things to list on ebay later. He's now washing both cars.
Washing caught up with now, just got to dry it. Then will tackle cleaning the outside of the fridge (did the inside last weekend). Iron uniforms for work/school for tomorrow.
PEN-PIN hope things work out positively for you this week with your hospital visits.
Take care all, be back later xxx
Hope DLB is ok, she's usually posted here before now.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Hi everyone,
After having a Migraine for a week, I'm going down to Argos today to purchase a new pillow. Bloke has a gift voucher he had from spending over £50 before Christmas, I think we have some nectar points too, so I'll get some money off.
Looking forward to next weekend when we are meeting up. I have offered to type up some name labels if anyone would like one for the gathering, pm me your name and I'll add you to my list.
Can't wait to see everyone.
I'm going to make Thai Chicken Curry this afternoon. Bloke and I are not traditional Roast Beef on a Sunday. He has been pestering me to make this for sometime.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying what is left of the weekend.
Catch you all later.

Good afternoon
Had a bit of a lie in this morning. Never got up till after ten! Had been awake around 4:30 due to a HH (horny husband :rotfl: ) but fell asleep again and went into a deep sleep.
2nd load of washing on and a big pot of soup on the go for said hubby to take to work.
Have football on telly at the moment as the little brother of a friend from work is a mascot. After the start will switch over as it's none of our teams playing.
No other plans for the rest of the day. Sunday is definately the day of rest in this house
Bye for now0 -
Bargain_Rzl - going back to last night thread ref my 2nd cat, and how similar he is to "stripey", he is infact half persian. His mum (pebbles) was a full blown tortie-smoke long haired. I also had a pure black long haired persian (bambam) who I had intensions to breed them both. Sadly "pebbles" escaped one night - had her wicked way with a "tom cat" and came back pregant. Grimley (the 2nd cat in the pic) was the runt of her litter. He is like him mum in so many ways, loving, affectionate, etc.. I still miss her to this day, she had a stroke and died! Bambam caught the cat version of aids and had to be put to sleep.
Lil_me - ref the ice-cream van, we have 2 different van's come on our street, I used to tell my kids one was the mobile butcher, and the other was the veg man, they took it for a few yrs but have now become wise to it, since their grandad treated then to an ice-cream, before asking me! Oh well! I got away with it for a while!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
