  • Morning Everyone

Hope you are all well x

Still have the dreaded lurgy but will be attempting w*** tomorrow. God help if OH gets this as he will think its man flu :rotfl:

Managed to get the ironing, hoovering upstairs and bathroom cleaned on Friday so today will just give everything a brief once over and change our bed linen.

Found a bill for electricity last night - the bills are in OH's name and come out of his account direct debit. It was £199.20 for the quarter!!! and our heating is gas so can't blame that!!   He is terrible at leaving everything switched on so now I will be following him around turning everything off ;)

B - Bacon Sandwiches (OH), Beans/Egg on Toast for me
    L - None
D - Lamb Chops, Roasties, Mash & Veg

Have a good day everyone xxx

    Morning all

Another one with an internal alarm clock.......how annoying is it!!! Everyone else is still snoring away.

Had a MS job to do last night - it was horrendous - one of those times when you wish you could walk out.....never mind - a few more pennies in the bank.

Had a special offer booking rate for a long weekend in our local Pontins come through yesterday so phoned and arragned a break in May - something for us all to look forward too - huge long sandy beach and a lovely pool - sounds like bliss to me.

DH did several trips to the dump yesterday and today we plan to get some tidying done in the garden....weather permitting.

Hope you all have a great day.

    Morning :hello:

Just popping on here quickly before I go to church.

My shoulder muscles are all seized up this morning, which comes of carrying more shopping than I should yesterday. I'm definitely on the lookout for a wally trolley now!

Somebody was asking yesterday about Dr Gillian McKeith's millet mash. I can't reprint the recipe here for copyright reasons but youo can find it partway down this page.

I am going to make carrot and coriander soup later, as I have carrots to use up and a big bunch of coriander that was intended for a chilli but I don't have most of the ingredients for chilli at the moment!

    Must go, see you later

    Rzl xx

Morning all. Promised myself a lie-in today but was wide awake at 7.30 so I let the dogs out and came back to bed in the hope I'd drop off for a while. No such luck!!!

Switched our electricity supplier last night and save £148 per year. I then looked at switching home phone and broadband suppliers and discovered I could save another £200 - amazing!!!! I'm just asking myself why we haven't done it sooner.

I got my new bm yesterday and made my first loaf.....it was gorgeous so will attempt another one today. I would also like to do the bathroom and the utility room and change the beds (I say "would" because my days rarely go to plan).

Oh well off to copy some recipes from the index as I also want to cook up some stuff for the freezer. Have a nice day everyone.

By the way - my user name - Lel is what my dad calls me and the c is the initial of my surname.

    Morning all!

very frosty here this morning, am off to pick up DS2 shortly from his sleepover so he can have a bath before he goes off to church:eek: always comes back grubby as they spent the night on a muddy farm in a static caravan!

More wallpapering for me and DH today, must finish it so I can start the painting tomorrow.
Roast beef for lunch, not sure whether we'll have it tonight or lunchtime yet.

Not sure why I'm up as I still feel tired. Will tidy round a bit and then go back to bed and finish my book.

Penny-Pincher I hope you get good news at the hospital. (((hugs)))
elaine bad luck on the car. It's amazing how much we depend on it now. I used to have to walk ds and dd to school then take two buses to get to work and then the same back again. I don't know how I would feel if I had to do that again. My wee car is my lifesaver. It gives me so much more time to do things that need doing.
groatie queen that is some real OS savings you have made. I'm sure I must be due a meter reading soon and will be interested to see how much I owe as I have been trying to switch everything off when its not in use, etc. Like the story of your name too.

Oh, and morning mum, sorry twink ;):D

((((hugs)))) to those who are poorly, had bad news or just want one.

Have a smashing Sunday. toodles for now. xx

Grrrr:mad:...so blinking !!!!!! off just wanted to have a vent.......for the 3rd time this week my bl00dy husband has driven off to work with the car seat in his car, despite my asking for it....and had his mobile switched off so I couldn't' catch him. So annoying as I was supposed to be going to pick up a freecycle mirrorr this morning and now I'll have no chance of getting it, and haven't got the persons phone number so I have to hope they read their email before they get mad at me for not turning up:mad:
My car tax is due this month & I really really don't see the point of trying to stretch the money to pay for it if I can never use the bl00dy car! Grrrrrrrrr:mad:
