Atheist and the nativity

  • It's not a case of praying for what I want to happen, it makes no difference to me whether someone believes or not.

However if you sincerely believe that you know something (in this case how to live by faith) that would help someone else live a more fulfilled life then surely it's human nature to share it.

Bit patronising that TQ, please don't assume that because I'm an atheist I don't have a fulfilled life, that there's something missing from my life.

We were created in the image of God but as you don't believe in Him I don't have a problem with you not believing in that.

Well seeing as there is scientific proof of the evolution of humans and Christians believe "God" made us in his image then he must look like this

I totally accept that your life is fulfilled and I never said it wasn't. .You believe people are better off without God and I take the opposite view.

I'm sorry you felt patronised that was never my intention at all.

Nope, nothing like it, but then you knew I'd say that. I could choose to feel insulted and patronised by that but I won't.;)

I don't think you've quite got to grips with what atheism means TQ.

I don't believe people are better off without god. I don't believe he exists. Big difference.

Yes your right, I did phrase that wrongly, my apologies.

You believe that there is no God and I believe the opposite, is that better.

Look in the mirror, we are now in His image and always have been.

So did he evolve with us then or did he just know what Homo Sapiens looked like a few millions of years before we happened? And created Homo Erectus and Homo Habilis anyway?

Or do you not believe in Homo Erectus etc?

Guys, this is starting to look a bit like cats toying with a mouse now. You aren't going to score any points or change TQ's mind.
