I have been a £2 coin saver ever since they were brought out. In the January sales I stock up on those money box tin cans (the ones you have to open with a tin opener) and throughout the year I pop in every single £2 I can lay my hands on. If I see my friends and family with them I buy them from them and every so often my boyfriend will donate one to my cause!

When the tin is full so that I cannot prise any more coins into it I open the can and pay the contents (usually £300 spot on) into my savings account! So far I have managed to save around £1200 this way! Happy days! :rotfl:

found a winning scratch card in the bottom of an old bag when i cashed it in the cashier apologised for having no £5 notes I was more than happy with my 2 shiny £2 coins, not sure how much is in my pot as i want the surprise when I open it.

Can I join in this thread? I am a member of the SPC but I was given a lovely Pot of Dreams for Christmas which I would like to just use for £2 coins. I am going to keep it going until its full - then it will go into my New House savings.

I save £2 coins, then spend them on coffees and snacks if we have a break in UK. I have 60 so far towards our next break.
