I did this last year and filled up my cupcake pot. I saved £468 all together
I literally didn't spend a single £2 coin and swapped money if I saw a friend had one.

for those old enough to remember 35mm film cameras, the "pot"/ "canister" that held the film cassette will neatly hold 18 £2 coins.

a box of empty pots and lids can be bought cheaply on ebay

I want to join as well.

I have been saving all £2 coins for a while now and my dad keeps them at his house, so I can't be tempted to spend them. I'm currently on £494 and counting!

My partner is 50 in May so I want to pay for a holiday for us.

Please can I join this challenge? It's a nice way to start off the new year. I don't have a target amount - just going to see how many £2 coins I have saved by the end of 2012.

This is my very first post - 2012 is the year in which I am going to do all I can to save as much money as possible and to pay off as much of our debt as I can.
