Weller, the thing I'm learning from your thread is that the ups and downs never stop, I guess that is life. I'm sending you lots of love, for the loss of your little one and the loss of Molly's god parents. Well done for staying as strong as you have and I hope the doc can help.

Hi Weller (((((HUGS)))))
I'm glad you've resurrected your thread (always used to read it loads, even when I didn't post) and if you read back some of the early pages you can see what huge progress you've made in a very short time.
As you're not going out at the moment have you got friends at least coming round to visit you for a coffee & chat? Maybe invite one of Sam's friends & his mum round after school so Sam has someone [STRIKE]to gang up with on the neighbour's kid[/STRIKE] different to play with and you get some adult conversation.
I've found crying at my doctor a very effective way to get what I want (especially if it's an older male one, they don't appear to be very good with crying women)
The money stuff is going so well though I'm in complete awe - a month's mortgage put aside for emergencies? Wow! :T
Keep posting honey,

I'm trying to achieve the 'drop your knickers there and then' affect. Maybe I need to alter my approach! :think:0 -

I couldn't agree more!
I know what its like to feel worried about what everyone is thinking and saying about you but you genuinely have to think "stuff you!" and put it out of your head. Its hard at first but the feeling you get when you do it is amazing, well worth the effort!
Best of luck

Weller, what can I say? Other than what a fantastic woman you are, and what a lovely family you have created :j
I have just spent a couple of hours reading this thread and through it all have been struck by how you have handled some truly appalling circumstances with dignity. Ok, so you may have got a bit 'tired and emotional' on here but, when the chips have been down, you have stayed strong. What an amazing role model for your children - who, by the way, sound like they are an absolute credit to you and your husband.
In one of your posts you said something like 'how sad it is that I'm 36 and all I want is a mum'. Well, that's not sad, it's absolutely natural. My own mum died of cancer when I was 21 (6 years ago) and there's not a day goes by that I don't want and miss her. But, she raised me to be a strong, independent woman (albeit with a weakness for shoes...) and it sounds as if you are going to have the same positive effect on your children - despite the suffering you have endured at the hands of your own parent. For that, you should be proud. :T
I'm planning on starting a family in the next couple of years (looks over her shoulder in case panicking OH is reading this.:rotfl: ) and if I can be half as good a mum as you obviously are, I will be very happy indeed.
I wish you, Andy, Sam and Mollie all the very best and will definitely be keeping my eye on you. Although it seems as if you have loads of people doing that already! :jOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 5500 -
Happy belated birthday Mollie. Glad to see that you are coming to grips with things. How did you ebaying go?
chev
So sorry Chev - missed your post - made just over £400 :T on Ebay so thats whats in our school and clothes accounts. I didn't honestly think we'd make that much so was well chuffed.
Now need to get darling hubby to sell his 500+ model cars - all VW's of course, though its taking some persuading :mad:0 -

A definite alteration of approach needed, m'dear. After reading your post I tootled off to put an extra pair of knickers ON. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

You still off men?
And I know you secretly do want me. You just find it hard to admit to yourself, let alone others!0
