  • Weller - how positive you sound in that last post! You've made my day, you really have.

You've had wonderful support and advice on this thread, and it sounds as if you have great support in your "real" life too. Your hubby is your best ally right now and please listen to your doctor and CPN when they assure you that your children are safe.

As for your mother - well, I'm afraid I feel a little bit sorry for her right now. Looks like the game's up and she's in for a tough time of it. But your first concern has to be you and your family. £200 a month really would go a long way to solving your problems so sort these out first. Maybe she needs a shock to get the help she needs. But you first right now, OK?

Please dont warn her. She needs to account for what she has done.

Can I just say that as lovely and kind and thoughtful and loving as my darling boy is - he can also be a real monkey and can be very naughty - just like any child - but I love him just the same. Just didn't want anybody to think that I was making him sound perfect (though he is :rotfl: ).

Also, hes come home from school today, gave me and Mollie a kiss and than ran upstairs to his room only to come back down with bright red (felt tip) spots on his face and says he can't go to school tomorrow 'cos hes dying from measles :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: !!! Kids eh?

Your post made me cry. You have a son with such a loving heart....and even though most of us are going through tough and challenging times you will get through. Don't look back just keep perservering. I will be thinking of you.

No sentiment - I'll leave that to the ladies

1 - Tell your husband what is going on
2 - Take mother's £200 this month - buy your boots and treat the kids

    YOU'VE EARNED IT!
    Money won't buy you happiness

I know what you are saying - I feel awful too but it needs to be done otherwise I will just end up in more of a state - I need to get myself better and this will help a lot. I love my Mum and I don't want to hurt her but right now I have got to put myself and my family first and if that means the "downfall" of my Mum then its got to be done.

I won't allow myself or my family to suffer anymore, I can't go on like this - we are going to get our debts paid off more quickly but in the meantime we are all going to love each other and support each other and be a proper little family. Debt or no debt, our happiness and love for each other comes first.

oh my goodness weller711 what a mess!
good luck telling your husband tonight. I'm sure he will be upset and angry but then once its all out in the open you can sort it all out.

cant believe a mother would take money off her child like that, and threaten her with SS. I am astounded.

I take it you haven't had the pleasure of meeting my Mum then? This is just a taste of what my Mum is really like.

Oh, I'm on a roll now and very hyper - please forgive me :A

Lisa, I'm so glad to hear you feeling more determined and strong as the thread goes on. You're forgiven any amount of hyper-ness, its great to hear you happy! Best of luck with telling your hubby and your dad, it will be best for everyone to know and you not to have to shoulder the burden any more.
