I never had a life-plan either, DDFW, but I know I didn't plan on being where I am now at this age. :o And you know, it's mostly my own fault. Perhaps if I'd had a life-plan, looked to the future more, I'd be in a much better position now financially, career-wise, in every way. I often feel I've let my kids down by not being more financially secure - I'd love to be able to take them on nice holidays, or pay for driving lessons or a car etc.

Like you, I am working on changing and hope that I am making progress. Once thing for sure, I will be striving to ensure that my children don't make the same mistakes I've made. :o

My life plan involved never getting married :D Messed up that one didn't I :D. I wouldn't change it for the world though.

My parents never had money when I grew up p&f, we never had big holidays, I paid for my own driving lessons and pretty much everything else non-essential since I was 13 and got a paper round. It doesn't mean we had a bad life though, and I wouldn't change it at all.

I do hope though, that if I ever have children, I can teach them to be better with money than I am :o

Hey everyone, hope you are all well.

Sorry not posting a lot at the moment, feeling a bit stressed and anxious about things. I'm sure everything will settle down again soon.

    Me too. :o

We didn't have much money growing up and we never had a holiday abroad or anything like that. My kids have been on quite a few foreign holidays, but not every year. I just feel bad that I've been generally so useless with money.

But hey, it's not too late to change. :D

I can safely say my kids have had a pretty idyllic childhood - we live in the most lovely place. The place I went to last week was so utterly grotsville, it does make me appreciate where we live. Our kids have always lived here in this pretty village, here in this house - I'm pleased about that. :)

Must be something in the air, Jwil, because I'm feeling the same. With me, it might be down to hormones as well, don't know, but several times today I was close to tears.

My solution was to clear out the summer-house (well, it's really a smart shed :p). It was a tip and had a couple of dead mice in the corner - eeeeuuuuwww. Anyway, it's much much better now, still has some bits and bobs in there that need sorting but it's now much tidier and sweet-smelling.

I do find that having a good clear-out or tidy-up does seem to help calm me down when I'm feeling panicky - perhaps the physical process of restoring order helps the mind to do the same.

Anyway, Jwil, I hope you are feeling better soon. Have a dodgy hug from me. :grouphug:

On a brighter note, aren't the bright evenings great - I've just come in from outside, it's not really dark and it's 8 o'clock.

Thanks peaceandfreedom :) That's exactly what I've been like the last couple of days. Yesterday I think I was verging on a panic attack, and I've never felt like that before :(

I've spent all evening packing ebay stuff and there's now a big pile of stuff to go so hopefully that will make me feel better.

Sounds like you've had a nicely productive day though - it was a nice feeling on Saturday when we turfed out and sorted a lot of stuff from the garage.

It's been a lovely day again today, and it's so nice that the evenings are getting lighter :T

Oh, one highlight of my day - 82% in my final assignment sponsored by :money: . Only the end of course assessment to go now.

I've learnt a lot from the course, and am so pleased they sponsored me. Now to put it all into practice and get rich :D

    Brilliant jwil..congrats!

Sorry youve been feeling panicky. I sometimes feel overwhelmed and agree with P&F that a bit of decluttering and getting back in control of the 'stuff' in the house makes me feel better..

Hope the sun makes you feel calmer x

Yay, well done, Jwil, you are a genius. :j When you've worked out how to get rich, write a book and tell the rest of us, eh? :D

Sorry you're feeling down, it's odd isn't it that just when spring has hit us, we start feeling a bit bleeuuurrggghhhh! But good work on all the ebay packages.

I didn't really have a productive day, maybe that was partly why I felt a bit down and decided to attack the summer house. :o

Hi Brizzle, I was thinking of you yesterday in the garden centre. I remembered you saying you put out some bedding plants and being surprised because it's so early. The garden centre had no real summer bedding plants for sale at all yet and I'm thinking that you probably meant spring bedding - primroses, pansies etc. - which will tolerate frosts. So now I'm curious - what were the bedding plants you put out (can you tell I've become a bit obsessive about gardening?).

I've put a new thermometer in the greenhouse that records max/min temperatures and the max min for the past two days stands at 37.5 / 3.8 - that's quite a range and quite chilly at night. I can see why it's too early to put tomatoes in the greenhouse though I'm itching to get started. :)
