Thank you. But you haven't seen the balances of the other two credit cards yet.:o:o:eek::eek::eek: Though the balances have all being going down too, just rather slowly.

I'm very much of the mind that i look after it and i am happy with it so why spend any money on it ?
Hmmm, I wonder what he has in mind? If you have other priorities, you are right to keep the garden the way it is and not spend money on it.
On the other hand, my OH doesn't take any interest in the garden at all. It would be nice to share and discuss plans and ideas (and indeed it would be nice if someone else did a little bit of the heavy work every now and then) but I'm on my own with the garden. Good job I love doing it.0 -

The thing is with freebies i always seem to miss out - i have been promised from 2 people for over a year a lavender cutting and *will* just buy my own as its been mentioned several times and i've not got any bah!
And i've just noticed your credit card balance that is amazing well done :j:j:j:j
I love lavender and plan to get some more this year. I planted loads at the last house and it looked great. I did get some for pots at this house but I killed itMaybe I'll try again this year.
Do you keep an eye on the freebies board on here? There's quite often seeds being given away on there.DedicatedDFW wrote: »Hey jwil
I think we were lucky in that we were happy with the garden overall - plus as i say i don't like to chuck plants away and with things growing merrily i just move them when its the right time of year of cut things back.

DH is quite happy with the garden as it is at the moment until we get the big job done which will involve complete landscaping, levelling and other stuff too.
Our garden is very small, and poorly designed. So couple that with the very large shrubs it looks a mess to me.
I'm going to try and tackle it though, I think I will just have to try and give it a go."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

It is a great reduction though, and hopefully this one will be gone before long :j :j"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I had a very convincing phishing email from paypal today. It got through the spam filter, but luckily I had my sensible head on and logged into the account directly to see what the issue was.
I've redeemed a £5 amazon voucher today :j"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Well done on the amazon voucher and on the phishing scam, phew! Some of them are really well done but there's usually something that raises suspicions. Good job you were alert. :T0 -
Isn't it lovely being able to hang the washing out and bring it in again dry a couple of hours later
Shame it's getting cooler again this weekend.
Mr postman has brought me a book to review too so that was a nice surprise"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Our postie doesn't bring anything exciting these days very much at all. I don't think I get any bills in the post - they are all online these days.
The good news is I've had a Lotto win. :j The bad news is that it was the usual tenner.
Bloody silly people have all gone and panic-bought fuel in our nearest town, so either all fuel stations were sold out, or they had massive queues. OH is going on a long trip tomorrow and we needed a full tank of fuel - ended up having to buy it at a local petrol station, which is a good 7p more per litre. I mean, what's going on, there isn't even a strike yet. :mad:0
