I have paid that £600  and some other bits so £744. It's going to be an incredibly tight month _pale_ but hey I'm £600 less in debt and I can't add that on again :T

Well done, Jwil, great to notch up such a fabulous amount in one month. :T

Well I managed to persuade DH to get the unpleasant task done this morning, so that's all sorted and we can now relax for the weekend. :j

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

I think Wilkinsons and places like that do el-cheapo seeds as well. And keep an eye out for freebies - someday it'll be your turn to get the good luck. :)

Thank you. But you haven't seen the balances of the other two credit cards yet. :o:o:o:eek::eek::eek: Though the balances have all being going down too, just rather slowly.

Hey peaceandfreedom - thank you for the advice :D

I think its better - or at least it works for me anyway to really hurl everything at 1 thing at once and let the others tick over. I know others spread overpayments out over all bills but i just couldn't manage with that - whilst i don't forget about the other bills i don't find it as overwhelming with the way i deal with it :)
Hmmm, I wonder what he has in mind? If you have other priorities, you are right to keep the garden the way it is and not spend money on it.

On the other hand, my OH doesn't take any interest in the garden at all. It would be nice to share and discuss plans and ideas (and indeed it would be nice if someone else did a little bit of the heavy work every now and then) but I'm on my own with the garden. Good job I love doing it. :)

Oh, i know what he has in mind - but it also wouldn't be right for our little cottage *whispers* but i've not told him this yet :o Plus there are things that need money spending on them in the garden - the patio needs relaying - the fence and the shed need buying and putting in so there's no point spending a load of money to re-landscape something that doesn't need to be done :naughty:

I'm the same with the garden - it would be nice to share some of the work - especially the harder, heavier stuff - when we first moved in he created the path area by basically moving some small stones - since then i've had to dig the path out line it and re-lay it as we were getting thousands of weeds coming up that i then had to clear away

I love lavender and plan to get some more this year. I planted loads at the last house and it looked great. I did get some for pots at this house but I killed it :o Maybe I'll try again this year.

Do you keep an eye on the freebies board on here? There's quite often seeds being given away on there.

DH is quite happy with the garden as it is at the moment until we get the big job done which will involve complete landscaping, levelling and other stuff too.

Our garden is very small, and poorly designed. So couple that with the very large shrubs it looks a mess to me.

I'm going to try and tackle it though, I think I will just have to try and give it a go.

Hey jwil - no i rarely check the freebies board - i don't even know where it is :o - our garden is also small with big shrubs and this is why i've moved them to the edges to make room for nice flowering plants. Although after fall i'll move some more of the big ones - sometimes i think you need to do a bit see how that looks and then realise a bit more needs to be done.

Hopefully you will enjoy it once you get out in the garden and you will get some great results - i think even with an hours work it can make a big difference and you can see what you've done.

It is a shame about your lavender - maybe i just need to treat myself to this one plant this year if i can squirrel some money to one side from somewhere  - which then reminds me that all the things needed in the garden - compost, pots, plants etc. have all come out of my budget hmm....

Isn't it lovely being able to hang the washing out and bring it in again dry a couple of hours later :)

Shame it's getting cooler again this weekend.

Mr postman has brought me a book to review too so that was a nice surprise :)

    Woohoo to free books :T:T:T
Our postie doesn't bring anything exciting these days very much at all. I don't think I get any bills in the post - they are all online these days.

The good news is I've had a Lotto win. :j The bad news is that it was the usual tenner. :p

Bloody silly people have all gone and panic-bought fuel in our nearest town, so either all fuel stations were sold out, or they had massive queues. OH is going on a long trip tomorrow and we needed a full tank of fuel - ended up having to buy it at a local petrol station, which is a good 7p more per litre. I mean, what's going on, there isn't even a strike yet.

Well done on your lotto win :T

And the fuel Grr! I had to fill up as the petrol station near me was out of petrol for i think 3 days so when i went by another station that had just a couple of pumps open i pulled in and thought i may as well fill up because i can see that once they get another delivery people will be queuing up again  I never fill up my car - it was a very unbudgetted for expense :(

I know the queues have been horrendous. Luckily I am not driving at the moment otherwise I'd be well narked.

Looking forward to the sun tomorrow..may even get the hammock out!

    A hammock! :j:j:j I am indeed very jealous :D

Hey everyone, another mad day today.

It is payday though :j :j Always a happy day :)

Not sure what the plan is for this weekend, one not nice task to do on Sunday, will be glad when that is over. Possibly some booting, and ought to be doing some assignment. I'd like to get some stuff on ebay but not sure if I have the time.

Have a good one everyone :)

What a huge and fantastic payment - as you say now its paid and you do not need to pay it again :D
