It's still ok if it's less than £46 though, you can claim for lost international items. Any more though and look for a different service.
Really? The guy in the post office told me that once it was out of the country, it's no longer their responsibility. They can't control what happens to post once it leaves the UK. Hmmm.0 -
We've had a busy busy day today sorting stuff out :T :T :T A couple of boxes ready for booting, a few bits ready for ebay and a bit of a tidy up.
My netbook battery has arrived today, super quick! It has solved the problem too so all is well in that world :T
Super stuff, Jwil.
I've had a busy day but I'm not sure I got all that much done. Ah well, the day is not over yet.0 -

Yep, nearly all of my claims have been from abroad and they've paid out each time. As with normal post they don't know if it left the country or not because there's no tracking.
With International Signed For, or Airsure, they track it in this country so they know when it's left so they won't pay out for those if they can see it made it out of the country, but standard airmail is fine."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thanks DDFW, take it easy and if you need a break have one.
We've been booting this morning and I just bought one book. Might do some listing today, but I'm not feeling very inclined to do so at the moment.

Thanks. I got Mothers Day tea and flowers in bed and also had breakfast cooked for me and will have dinner cooked for me.
I am not going to spend the day lounging around though - LOADS to do today, including shovelling some horse manure - lovely.0 -
Wow you guys are amazing! It's like it's your specialist subject on Mastermind...!! Thanks so much..
Luckily we never seem to want to/need to send abroad but given those books I have listed on Amazon it may be worth offering it. Thanks for the advice.
A busy day here...but a nice one. Sun has come out too so £2.70 on panels. OH out for a bike ride.. Top speed for an hour. Girls doing homework and I finally manage to get onto MSE! Mum and Dad were here for lunch which was lovely..now have some lovely flower and salad seeds..all very useful. Also chocs and they have taken tonnes of books and a few bits of bric a brac. Front garden looks like a mini version of the municipal tip though!! What do the neighbours think!!;)
Anyway enough of my ramblings on your thread jwil!!
Hope you've all had a great weekend

Hope all you Mummies have had a lovely day
I've done a bit of listing for DH today, and done my relists. I could only list a couple of my new items as there are limits on that category "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hope all you Mummies have had a lovely day
This Mummy did.
Though I spent it all doing stuff:- did two loads of washing, hung them up, took them in later
- dug out 5 bags full of horse manure from a big heap up the lane
- dug said manure into the bed for the raspberries
- planted 10 raspberry canes
- did some other garden pottering
- took car to car wash
- hoovered inside the car and generally cleaned it up
- took son to and from work
- helped get daughter ready for school trip
- cleaned up some of the dinner as OH likes to 'leave things to soak'
- did a 2-foot high basket of ironing
). So have a good start to the week, see y'all later.
