Hooray for getting the work assignment done. :T

Your dog was keen to back inside - I don't blame him - bl**dy cold here today. Snowed and sleeted until lunchtime but nothing spectacular. Kids still hoping for some snow days before the end of the winter.

Still, I dragged myself down to the tip with the large bits of clutter I'd decided to dispose of and so I'm very pleased with myself.
It snowed (sleeted) here, but nothing settled. It has settled on the hills though.

Well done on getting rid of the large items!

hi everyone - been hectic at work but hopefully should slow a bit now. Hope those that are studying are managing to keep on top of their workloads and sore backs are feeling better.

My mini JRT hates the cold and today looks very dark and grey here - must be snow on the way :D.

I still have not done any ebaying - just too tired at night and too busy with horses at the weekend. Good news though I might be getting my PPI back off my original loan which I am quite pleased about as I remember really struggling at the time and asking them if I had to have that added and they said yes! Being ever the pessimist (or is it realist :o) I will only dance from the rooftops when its in the bank!

    Keep well everyone x
Thanks LAM, hope you are well too :) Have you had any snow yet?

That's fantastic news about the PPI :T :T I'm like that too, I never count anything until I actually receive it. Hope it all comes through though and you get it soon!

Well payday has finally arrived! I've paid everything this month :T :j But I've got no money left to live on :rotfl:.

It's a better situation than I've been in the last few months though so I'm happy. I've got some money on the way from Paypal and Amazon and will try and get a lot of new stuff listed too to get some cash in.

    Hi everyone :)

LAM - fingers crossed for PPI

retiredandskint - well done on your sale :T

peaceandfreedom - your weight loss has been brill :j - mine hasn't budged :( OH kindly said that i am toning up *eep* i certainly don't want to tone up at this size  - Hoping in 2weeks i'll see a difference - not expecting any change this week as i've been exercising but totally rubbish at it as i'm so tired

jwil - fingers crossed for more sales for you! I've just had to stop myself keep re-checking the bay of e - i have a high number of people apparently interested in my car but i can't take any of it seriously as who buys a car without going looking at it first? Anyway i'll soon be put out of my misery on that and will then need to make a decision :( i can't afford to keep the car so need it to sell *now* but i can't stomach the idea of letting it go for £2000 less than its worth - anyways all i can do is wait for the sale to end and if someone has bid enough then hope they come and pay and don't quibble over anything :( At the end of the day i'm not a business just a person selling a car and not making any profit (as in car will be sold for less than i paid for it and its not a car that depreciates) Out of interest has anyone on here ever sold a car privately and any advice? :o

Gosh can't you tell i'm an impatient thing :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Brizzle - hows your car sale going?

DDFW - I mentioned on your diary that my DH has both bought and sold cars on ebay and they didn't get looked at, nor did he look at the one he bought.

If someone bids - don't let them turn up and haggle - they either pay the price they bid or don't buy it.

Have you put anything in the listing as such? I think DH put in his listing 'Car sold as seen - you are welcome to come and view before the auction ends. You bid to buy'.

The only other suggestion I have - I think you mentioned you have a reserve on it? Perhaps if it doesn't sell this time, list it again for the price you will accept. I think some people are put off by reserves as they don't know what you want for the car.

    Good luck though!

Thanks for the advice hon - basically the car needs cosmetic maintenance - but thats why i am not selling it in 'mint condition' and the price i'm willing to accept reflects that. I also haven't listed all the bits of things that i think people would quibble over as i was advised if i started listing stuff like that then someone would try and knock the price down for a bit i hadn't listed.

Yes i do have a reserve and have had a few messages - one asked what the reserve was - so i told them - the other (from another person) asked what i'd take immediately on buy it now - so i told them - (more than the reserve price but it is truly worth more too). Didn't get any replies from either but the watchers haven't dropped - just kept increasing. I've never had so many watchers on 1 item!

I'm at the stage now where i'm thinking i'll get offer messages after it ends - we'll see later x

Oh, it's still very painful but much better than it was. Thanks for asking! It's been quite painful at work, but I think that's because I'm sat in one position for a time.

It's difficult when you have to sit down for long periods - try to get up, move about and stretch a bit as much as you can - even if you have to nip to the ladies and do a bit of stretching in there. That Cobra stretch can be sort-of done standing up. Just stand up and lean backwards just with your top half if you see what I mean.

When I banjaxed by lower back, I was in discomfort whenever I was sitting down - standing up / walking was so much more comfortable and in fact ironing (I know you don't iron much :D ) was the most comfortable of all - I think the gentle movement was very soothing.

Fingers crossed the car sold DDFW.

I'm feeling shattered this morning. The good news is my surveying was cancelled, the bad news is it was cancelled as there was lots of other stuff to do instead. Also it means I have to do two lots next week, so fingers crossed it gets a little milder.

Nothing to report moneywise. It's going to be a long month if I don't get any extra cash in so must get some new listing done.

    Hope everyone is well!

Hope the weather's not too bad for you Brizzle, it's not fun travelling when the weather is bad. I've got an early start again on Thursday which I'm not overly looking forward to.

Hope your early start went OK, Jwil. It was a very cold morning but very strange because there was hardly any ice on the car, more like a light frost. Chris Evans was talking about it on the radio and apparently the air is very dry, so although it is well below freezing, there is no ice very much.

Hope you have a good day. :)
