  • All's well in my little world jwil, my OH is off sick nothing serious but driving me round the bend :rotfl:

I'm still selling bits and pieces on eb*y. One potential buyer wants to know if I'll send to the Ukraine I said I'll check postage but tbh I think it's going to be expensive so not sure what to do.

I'm sure you've loads of plans for the weekend but don't overdo it.

Glad all is well with you retired, hope your OH gets a bit better soon. They do get under the feet don't they :rotfl:

Well done on the sales, that's great! The Ukraine is European postage, so unless the item is really heavy (over 2kg) or over £46 it can go as standard airmail.

I sell a lot of stuff abroad, it's a very good market if you want to go for it.

I'm going to try and have a fairly relaxing weekend, though I've got another assignment I need to be getting on with now.

Well miracles have occurred! I'm feeling a lot better now.

DH is in a better mood this evening, and whilst not overly jolly, a million times better than earlier. :T

I've submitted my assignment, and I don't think I'll be getting 90% this time (sorry :money:) I'm hoping it's not too bad.

I did a bit of stretching earlier and something seems to have miraculously helped my back. It's still very painful, but I have some of my mobility back so that is an improvement too :j :j

I've had my first competition win :T a fridge magnet :rotfl: but much more satisfyingly, I have received a book to review.

Sorry for my moodiness earlier, everyone, I'm feeling better now :) and thanks for being there

Morning everyone. Nothing to report really, it seems a long way to payday on Tuesday.

I sold one item on ebay last night, and currently have two selling tomorrow, though I'm hoping for a few more items to go.

Well done on the selling, Jwil. Glad your back is feeling a bit better. I had meant to suggest you try stretching - when I developed lower back pain (I think it was from lifting something too heavy) - I went to see a physio and she advised stretching exercises a couple of times a day. On this page there are exercise and stretches - if you scroll down, the stretches I was advised to do are the Cobra and the Basic Spinal Twist. Only do what you feel able to do of course: http://www.bigbackpain.com/back_exercises.html

Weigh-in day was yesterday and I have stayed the same - which is good because I strayed off the path last weekend and (ahem, TMI) I am somewhat bunged up. Hopefully, will be able to report a weight loss next week. :)

Today I have lots of jobs to do so I'm going to get on and do them.

Thanks peaceandfreedom - was there meant to be a link in your post?

I'm sure you'll have a loss next week, staying the same is pretty good if you haven't been brilliant.

Have a good day today :)

Thanks for the link p&f, that looks good, I'm going to try a few of those.

I've done nothing at all today which has been lovely. We went grocery shopping this morning, and apart from that I have watched an episode of Fringe, finished reading a book, and lazed in the bath with a magazine :)

DH was talking today about wanting to improve his diet as he thinks it might help with the way he is feeling :T I've suggested this before, so I'm happy. He's not overweight, but eats like a horse and lots of junk, so I know this won't be helping him. His job is very active so he needs to eat plenty, but it could be a lot better.

We are going to make some small changes and hopefully they will lead to big changes and improved health for us both :j

Wow, what a lovely way to spend your Saturday! :j I've been working like a trojan in the garden and I'm quite pleased with what I've got done so far.

Sounds excellent, Jwil -your OH can still eat loads and not eat loads of junk. Just cutting out some of the processed stuff would be a great start. It's great that you are both doing it together, makes things so much easier. :)

    Morning Jwil

Hope your back is improving and that you have had some rest over the weekend. How is you OH doing today? I think diet affects ones mood greatly and junk with its high sugar content, sends you on a high and then drops you down. It is everywhere though and so hard to resist if you are used to it.

Sold a couple of things on amazonia this week not big numbers but its money!! Have to get some ebay listed today. Are you carbooting today?

That sounds good too, I'd like to do some to our garden, but don't think my back's up to it yet.

Yes, I don't think I'll get him away from the junk altogether, but hopefully improving the diet will help too. It makes it much easier if he's on board - that's the biggest barrier that I've faced before, it's too much hassle and cost for us to eat separately.
