Morning Jwil
Hope your back is improving and that you have had some rest over the weekend. How is you OH doing today? I think diet affects ones mood greatly and junk with its high sugar content, sends you on a high and then drops you down. It is everywhere though and so hard to resist if you are used to it.
Sold a couple of things on amazonia this week not big numbers but its money!! Have to get some ebay listed today. Are you carbooting today?
We woke up early this morning and decided against booting as it's too cold and frosty and it looks like it will rain soon. There's an indoor one later which we might take a look at if we can be bothered.
The sugar thing is one I've read before, and I think it does contribute to his moods. Fingers crossed we can start with some small changes and then make some bigger ones.
Good luck with the listing!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I've paid £146.70 to various places this morning. That takes me over £1k paid this year. That's not how much I've reduced by though as I'm counting all payments made this year, and I've only got a couple of things on 0%."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". That's brilliant Jwil.
I've had a good start to the debt repayment as well - I will update on your pay-off-as-much-as-you-can thread at the end of the month.
Absolutely agree with ebayqueen about the sugar thing - my diet for the last 2 weeks has been low-carb and it really does make such a difference - even though I've had lots of late nights, I've had plenty of energy. And ebayqueen is so right about it affecting your moods - keeping a steady blood sugar level helps so much. There is a low-carb support thread somewhere on MSE and you could pick up some tips from that.
Good luck - and hey, January is nearly over - that means there's only one more month until Spring. :j I can feel the evenings getting longer already - I was in the garden until 5:30 yesterday evening - though as soon as I stepped inside, I realised it was pitch black outside.0 -

Ooh, you have done well on paying off from your siggie, well done!
Low carb does appeal to me, though I fear it could be expensive. I do lurk on the low carb thread on here, and the slimming world one too. I do tend to favour towards slimming world, and their 'red' days can be fairly low carb, so I expect that's the way I will go.
I'm looking forward to the lighter mornings, they don't seem to be getting any earlier yet. I hate walking the dog in the dark, there are places I don't like to go as there is no lighting, but these are my favourite places to walk him too, so it's annoying.
Sounds like you really did have a great day in the garden yesterday :j"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I've had a reasonably good day today. I've finished one book which I had to review and started another one. I've also made some good progress on my work assignment so I won't have such a panic tomorrow when I do the last minute bits.
Ebay sales are going well for DH, and one of my items is doing better than expected. I'm still hoping to sell a few more bits though, so fingers crossed.
We got a lot of reduced stuff in this morning, so I'm stocked up on fruit for the week, and have a nice big roast beef joint in the oven at the moment which will do us for dinner today and a few lunches in the week too :T"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Well, DH's items went well, I only sold 2 items
but one went for more than I was expecting so that was good :T
Everything is packed, and those who have paid I've printed the postage so most of them can go out tomorrow. Hopefully a few more will have paid by the morning.
Hope everyone is well x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hey you have been busy well done. Lots of MSE in your life!
I agree with the posts about diet...eating junk does contribute to feeling less than great. For me alcohol, so sugar really I guess, also plays its part in making me feel sluggish. So think its good to give it a try. New year and all that!
Have a great week

What a great, productive and MSE day. :beer:0 -
Howdy everyone, it's been a mad day today! I have finally submitted my work assignment though so that's all ticked off for now :T :T
The dog made me chuckle this morning, it started snowing while we were out walking, so he ran home :rotfl: (He'd had his walk, but once we got back to our street, he pegged it down the road, dragging me on the lead :rotfl:)"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". That's so funny :rotfl:the dog obviously had good sense.
I've had a good sale on Eb*y as my item went for £35 in the end. I had to turn the Ukraine guy down as the postage would have been more than the item was worth. He was very nice about it and agreed and thanked me. Unfortunately my other items didn't sell. Oh well you can't win them all.0
