  • Yikes. Can you still drive it with the warning light on?

Sometimes it is just one thing after another, isn't it? Hope you have a nice restful weekend.

  • Hi all sorry to hear you're feeling low I think it must be catching.

I did list a few items on the Bay of E and so far have £27 but loads of watchers on the items so fingers crossed. I also had one interested in a sewing machine and asked how much to courier it so fingers crossed. OH is still poorly from his fall.
  • Hi all

Jwil - :T - on the sales - it is good to get rid of things isn't it - especially when it brings money in :T

 - to the engine warning light - i wish i knew more about cars and how to advise you - just hope the light goes off and its just a glitch.

Good luck for more sales too x

Brizzle - i hope you feel better soon hon x

LAM - good luck for more sales too x

Chocs you are doing brilliantly with this months challenge :T

retired - good luck on more ebay sales and i hope your mr feels better soon x

OK folks - i have no idea what plans you all have but i hear that you all say you have *lots* of plans for stuff when you get home. One of the big things that helps me when i have things to do - and i am sure lots of you see the epic lists i post. Is that when i have a day in work i head home with the plan to do just 1 thing. This week for example i have been clearing out the kitchen cupboards. I now have the fridge left to clean, 1 cupboard and a half of a shelf to go. Which i think is pretty good going :) Basically i just give myself 1 cupboard a day to do - it doesn't sound alot but because it does sound so little its achievable and i often find i can get a bit more done to. So by the end of this week i'll have finished the entire kitchen - all cupboards emptied and decluttered as necessary, all sides wiped down, fridge cleaned drawers done too :D Of course if i'd come home with the intention of doing the whole kitchen or just making a start i'd have felt overwhelmed but the little steps are easy for me ;)

  • DDFW - I'm only jealous. The only times my kitchen cupboards get emptied and cleaned is if either something has got spilt or I am moving house ;). I just cannot get enthusiastic enough about house things to ever get the momentum up to do what you do; i.e. a bit at a time. Therefore, the tasks seem daunting for me because they would be a big job both psychologically and in reality. If you are able to keep up with it all then good on you :).

  • Hi chocs - the declutter is essential - i am trying to find enough stuff for a carboot and therefore raise some money and going through all the cupboards seems logical to me. I have decluttered the bedrooms and am pleased to announce just got the fridge to clean out :T

Also it feels good several bags of stuff no longer needed leaving the house :T

  • Hi Jwil

It is a nice bright sunny morning here and I was thinking it would be a good day for you, and other car booting fans, to be out.

A few of us have said we feel down at the moment. I get the impression that it has gone on a while for you. Obviously you have lots of issues, the baby, job and money and no doubt you can think of others. All I wanted to say is that "sad" and "depressed" can be used interchangably but as you know, are two very different things. If you are heading towards the latter, you would seek help, wouldn't you? An article on the BBC news site reminded me of this.

    Best wishes

Good advice from Chocforever - hope you are ok Jwil. Nice and sunny here too which does make you feel a bit better. Got my washing on the line although probably wont actually dry.

I listed a few big things on ebay - one of them for OH - listing cost just over £3 which he has given me in cash and I will put in my tin.

I have about 10 points to get to claim another £5 amazon voucher on swgs so playing games for a bit :D I am not counting them in my total challenge as that £300 is going off the card for mums vet bill.

I have made £30 this week from helping someone look after her horse whilst she was on holiday - I didnt expect it but she insisted so my total is now

£35 / £300 .... a long way to go. if my items sell on ebay I should make £100 but wont know till the end of the week.

You been out car booting today ?

Ahh, so it was you that encouraged me on swgs was it ;) ? I am hooked. I like crazy taxi best and have played that a few times to get to the 10 game target. Stegasaraus (sp?) run is good if I am short of time :rotfl:; he usually plunges to his death in about 10 seconds, or 30 on a very good turn.

I hope you have some luck with Ebay. I have a couple of auctions ending tonight. No bids yet; one might go because there are a number of watchers and the other one doesn't look like I will get any interest. I put a couple of items on today, the main one as a BIN so we shall see if I get a sale.
