    Hi jwil and friends!

Good to hear that things are going well jwil.. A healthy happy boy sounds good news! And a puppy...oh well just don't try and move as well! That always seems to go alongside nesting and I would imagine its very stressful!

Glad to see you're keeping up the MSE work jwil...reminds me must get some more books on Amazon..they didn't go very well last time but here's hoping this time!

    Brizzle x

Thanks Brizzle, definitely not planning to move!!

    Good luck with the books!
    Hi Jwil, DDFW and everyone,

Apologies for going completely AWOL during the summer - not sure how or why it happened really.

I have been thinking of you all though and wondering how Jwil and bump are doing. :) I will spend a bit of time catching up on this thread.

I have been totally neglecting anything to do with finances and OH still doesn't have a job but we're surviving. Need to get back on the straight and narrow though - but maybe not till next week.:D

Woo lovely to see you again P&F :j You've been missed! I have been wondering how you are getting on.

Sorry to hear that OH still hasn't found a job but hope all is going well with yours!

WooHoo!!! PEACEANDFREEEEEDOOOOOMMMMM!! :j:j:j Lovely to have you back hon! Hope your summer was nice and PM me if you need to chat, vent etc. :) You have been missed but glad you are well and here :)

I've been completely rubbish with my finances p&f if truth be told - i had a bit of a shopping spree last week  Tried to return alot of it yesterday due to car breaking down and bringing me to my senses :( it was lovely stuff and bargainous too however brief it lasted. i need to keep a spending diary and then actually read what i am spending my money on - although i know the food shop has been costing me more than i want to spend but i'm not getting anything excessive

Hey jwil and LAM and chocs - did everyone get some stuff on the bay of e this week ? i got i think about 11 or 12 new items on and have more to list but ran out of time and energy.

    Hope everyone is well :)

I managed to get a few bits on and had some sales as well so pleased with that! Hope your sales go well!

A few more sales for me so I'm pleased. That's another £65 to my total and I'm still waiting for a couple to pay!

    So that's £213/£300 = £87 to go.

  • Jwil - you are doing so well with the challenge this month :D

I have a few additions to report; £9 from a MS, £10 voucher from a games site and £24 from ebay. That brings my total to £134. There is still a week to go!!

DDFW - I didn't make much progress with listing at the weekend. I only have a few items on ebay at the moment. For me, they are higher value items ( I only mean more than £10!) I got rid of a lot of my more normal ebay type things before I moved house so I am down to random stuff and I'll be delighted if any of them sell. I've kept my boots for now. The brand normally sells very well but for some reason, the boots aren't consistently selling for a good price; some are going for £100 whilst others only £40. Really they should be fetching about £90. Maybe it is still a few weeks too early for winter boots so I'll hold off for now.

Hi PeaceandFreedom - sorry to hear things are still a bit hard. Nice to have you back though.

    Well done on the sales.

I didnt get anything on over the weekend. To be honest I am not sure I want to sell the other stuff.

I have managed to get a loan with another bank at half the interest rate of my current bank - just waiting for the paperwork. It frustrating as the interest is front loaded so on paper my 'debt' goes up by £1300 but I need to remember if I stay with current loan I will be paying much more interest. Just need to crack on and pay it off now.

I am now trying to pay off mums vet bill £300 with the follow up visit!

My £3 came through from Mysurvey Jwil - only took about 4 days.

Still waiting for the Swagbucks payout - they do take nearly 10 days! I am fed up with surveys again and generally lacking motivation so off to read some diaries.

Weather doesnt help - we have had fog and drizzle for 3 days now!!

    Hope everyone is well :D

I keep hearing about Swagbucks. I got fed up with survey sites after I realised that many I had genuinely completed disappeared from my account so I was never given any credit. Would you say that Swagbucks is better, or even more interesting would do!

I agree that the constant rain and mist is getting boring. Must be time for a change!

I love swagbucks. It is easy money. The best form is to get the £5 Amazon vouchers but you can get paypal and loads of other vouchers. You can install their toolbar on your internet and just searching for daily stuff gets you points. There is a daily poll for a point, NOSO (Free) gives you 2 points each day, leaving the swagbucks TV to play gets you points. Playing a few games gets you points. There is loads to do for free if you dont like the surveys. There are surveys too for extra points. I have never been disqualified for the daily survey which is 70 points and is anything from 5 mins to 15 mins. It really is money for nothing. I get £5 per week on it.

They also run other challenges - at the moment there is two teams and if you meet daily challenges you get bonus points on the 5th of the following month. I am obsessed lol but then I spend most of my day in front of a computer so leaving the swagbucks tv running on mute and just keep clicking to next clip every now and again.

If you can get other people to join through your link - when they get points for searching - you get points for searching up to when they reach 1000 points for searching. :D

    Hey everyone

Chocforever, you are doing so well as well!

LAM - the Paypal payment for my survey came through too, so it wasn't too bad!

My ebayers paid up so I've got another £12 to add to my total.

It's funny because I haven't been able to get on with swagbucks at all. I could never get more than a few points when I tried so it was so timeconsuming for me. Maybe I'll give it another go.

Not much else to report really. My visitors go next week so I might have a bit more time.

    Have a good weekend everyone!

    So that's £225/£300 = £75 to go.

Nice to hear from you again jwil - i was going to post to see how you were today as i don't think i'd seen you posting for a few days - so i am glad you are ok and still selling things :D i had remembered and then forgot that your visitors may still be there too D'oh :rotfl::rotfl:

Everyone has done really well with the challenge - i just hope that next month i am better organised with it :o i have another £45 to add from book and bay of e sales but i have been so rubbish at keeping on top of my total :o Think i am at £170 now. I have just had such alot on this month and realised after reading about a few other people doing 'THE GREAT DECLUTTER' that it is probably due to christmas coming up - i never consciously think about it but i do always have a clear out before xmas and again spring time ish - i seem to have some sort of internal clock just for getting rid of things at this time and i can't relax properly until its done!

The good side effect of this is of course that i create space, am happy with what i keep *and* generate stuff for the bay of e or the carbooty :T

I have a fair few more items to list now and am trying to put a system in place whereby items to be listed get put in a bag so i know if i have anything to go on or not and this will help with FLW.

jwil - i am the same on swagbucks - i did ok at it for a bit and now i just find it very time consuming like you say - maybe i am doing something wrong ? :o

    Hope everyone is well xx
