I haven't been on-line for a while and so absolutely delighted that not only have you had a scan and all is well but it's a boy. I only had boys but have a clutch of granddaughters and boys are so much easier, dirtier but easier :j:j:j:j0

Sold a few things this week on ebay. Still no sign of my TCB moving into the payment column and decided to go a bit longer on SWGBKs before cashing in and still a bit short on my survey.
Got nothing planned this weekend and its freebie listing again on ebay so going to knuckle down and list a whole lot of stuff and do some surveys
There is always something though - my mothers dog has been very ill and is needing an operation which is going to be a lot of ££:eek: but she is a pensioner and he is her life - never been sick nor sorry in his life so will probably pay that on the 0% card and help her pay it off.
Have a good weekend everyone0 -
LAM, that's really nice of you to settle the vet's bills for your mother. I hope the operation is successful.
I'm not doing very well in this £300 challenge. I have £46 pounds which has come from a survey, winning a prize and a gambling promotion (I said I wouldn't do these anymore but this is an old one where the profit has just come through). I have some items on ebay so hoping for some sales this weekend. It's looking like the low value ones will go but not the more expensive items. Typical! Better put some more on there this weekend!
Hope everyone's having a nice weekend.Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Thanks for the congratulations everyone
We are rather pleased.
LAM - sorry to hear about the vets bill, that's very nice of you to pay it, and hopefully it's not too hideous.
Chocforever, I'm not doing brilliantly either. Going to try and get some more stuff on today I think.
Well we've done a crazy thing - we got another puppy! We wanted to get one for our dog so he's got company, and an advert appeared this week, so decided to go for it. It is DH's dog so he will pay for most of it, but I have contributed a couple of bits. She's a little sweetie, but probably going to be a terror!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
How is the new puppy settling in?
I only sold 3 things on Ebay this weekend and they were low value. It is another £16 though, so that makes my total so far £62.
Not had chance to list anything new on there today but thinking of putting some boots on with a BIN listing. They are a popular brand and looking at the completed listings, some are going for a very good price so hopefully I would get a decent amount for them. They were one of those magic sort of pairs which looked great and fit in the shop when I was in London but were decidedly uncomfortable and too wide when I got home and couldn't easily take them back!
Hope everyone had a good weekend xMortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Aw a new puppy! I would love more animals but sadly since we left the farm we just dont have space. We are down to 2 chickens now who stopped laying earlier this year and are now glorified pets, 2 dogs and 3 horses OH says No! lol
I made £25 on ebay last week and have listed a few more things for this week. Just ran out of time to clean up the other stuff to get it nice enough for a photo.
Luckily mums dog didnt need the op - they are treating with meds but it still cost £280! She now wants to look into pet insurance but I think it was just an extreme thing (he found an old bone in the garden not from my mother and it splintered in his stomach) usually he is very hardy.
Cant believe its monday already and half way through October. Have a good week everyone.0 -
Hey everyone, I'm shattered!
Chocforever, pup's doing well thank you, she's so cute! She was up all night on Saturday, but last night was much better.
Well done on your sales, and hope you get some good money for the boots!
LAM - Well done on your sales too! That's a relief that your Mum's dog didn't need the op, but a shame about the vets bill though. You have a nice selection of animals though! We have 2 dogs now and 1 cat. We did have 2 cats, but one got killed, and I won't get another whilst mine is still about. She's definitely an only cat, and is mad enough about the puppy intrusion!
As for me, I sold quite a bit on ebay this weekend :T so have £85 to add to my total. I've also managed to list some more too, so hopefully will get more to add. I'll be trying to carry on this week as well.
Hope everyone is well
So that's £136/£300 = £164 to go."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Wow everyone is doing really well on the challenge :T
jwil - a little puppy how fab! i am so jealousAnd it is lovely of you to get your dog some company - hope they are getting on ok together ?
Well done on your sales too that is a fab profit :T I was completely rubbish this week and got no new listings on Grr! Must do better! But i at least made the token effort of re-listing stuff so not all bad. I am now up to £125 on the challengeand i need every penny of it. I picked up now a couple of big money outlays (for me anyways) MS's and i won't get the money back until next month or the month after  I obviously think its worth it to do them though.
LAM i agree with jwil - lovely of you to help your mum with the vets bill - poor little doggy x - hope he feels better soonHope your sales go well on the bay of e and at least you still have stuff you can list for next time - looking on the bright side.
Chocs - i have had that same experience with shoes / boots and its so frustrating - i actually need a pair of boots - i could end up bidding on yours lol :rotfl: Except i'm trying NOT to spend any money. So far i have ordered and paid for 1 birthday gift (last week) Just ordered and paid for another one and next week i'll be ordering hopefully the last item i'm getting though i'll probably need to get a cake too and then my car is going in for its MOT *fingers crossed* and the boiler needs servicing!CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
hi everyone
well done on your sales Jwil - are you still getting morning / afternoon sickness?
How is pup doing?
I have discovered one of the things I have listed on ebay for next to nothing usually sells very well as its a certain 'brand' of horse stuff. Dont even know where I got it from and I have 10 watchers and one bid so heres hoping for a nice sale. Sort of wish I hadnt listed it now(but not been used so dont need it and need the money)

Hi everyone!
LAM - great news if the item has turned out to be more valuable than expected. There are no regrets if you weren't using it. And you can have the entertainment of pressing refresh lots of times to see what the latest bid is
DDFW - the boots are a size 7, 35cm calf width if you are interested! They are knee length and I bought them so I could actually wear some skirts/dresses. I can't get "normal" shoes because I have odd shaped feet but some boots are OK because they can't fall off my feet! Anyway, the boots are a just a bit baggy on my legs and I wonder if there is a bit of a Nora Batty look :rotfl:. If I wore them with trousers, they look fine and they are a lovely shape so they look a lot more elegant than any of my other boots. So the debate is whether it is better to sell them on Ebay and put the money towards another pair or just keep the ones I have and only wear them with trousers. Oh, the dilemma. I might try a BIN, start with a relatively high price and see if I get any takers.
