I know the feeling only too well  My guy at the garage told me it was time to get rid of ours because of the cost some people just don't understand that can't afford another one means just that. In the end the problem was sorted at dealer garage for £170 now goes like a dream :T
Well the good news on my front is the Bay of E item we thought was worthless and put it on for less than £5 isn't. With just over a day to go and 11 watchers still is now at the dizzying heights of £103 :j:j .
We have others to sell as well, even OH is impressed, he who thought it a waste of time
Have a good weekend and may all your sales be good ones
Touch wood my car seems to be ok nowGlad you got yours sorted too.
That's great about your ebay sales, hope you got a good price in the end :T :T"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
jwil at least ur stuff is selling ebay listing is something i never seem to get round too ,its a strange place were good stuff goes for pennies and cheap stuff goes for hundreds ,its on my todo list for sept and free listing this weekend .might be the way to go .sunny day here away to cut grass and hedge .
Thanks elly, I hate the listing, but it's nice when the money comes inDid you manage to get any on in the end?
It is weird though, the stuff you think will sell never does well, but the absolute rubbish always does :rotfl:"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Hi everyone,
my car has to go in on Wed for its MOT and I know the brakes need seeing to - they have started binding in the last couple of weeks so I have been using OH car.
How is the sickness Jwil?
I have found a lot of old horsey gear that is a bit (actually a lot) mouldy so going to clean it all up and ebay it this week.
My horse has to go to a clinic this week to be sedated and have her teeth seen too so going to be an expensive week for me.
But, dont know if I mentioned me and DS are still going away for a week the following week - cant wait.
Have a good weekend everyone and happy ebaying
Fingers crossed the MOT and vets bills are not too hideous for you LAM.
I'm still ill some days, but fine other days. Saturday and today I've been bad, but Sunday I was fine. It's rather tedious now I must admit.
Hope you and DS have a lovely holiday, is your OH still getting on with the building work?"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -

Thanks HI, hope you are ok"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Well we had a bit of a hectic weekend, so I didn't manage to get the 150 items on.
However, I did manage 102 for me and 100 for DH (including relists) so I'm quite pleased with that. Fingers crossed we get some sales now.
I've spent most of today packing stuff, and we had to deliver a piece of furniture to someone as well, so that's a bulky piece and a fair bit of small stuff gone today. The house seems to be getting worse rather than better though
DH is currently putting me some shelves in an obsolete cupboard in the kitchen, so hopefully that will give me some more space.
Hope everyone is well!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Hi all,
just popping in to say i have been reading when i can but it is such a faff to use my phone i don't tend to log in much - and haven't had the hugest attention span eitherStill feeling dreadful - currently my tea is in the oven as i'm trying to keep to regular healthy meals to try and build my strength back up a bit
Spurred on by the few sales last week and harried along by all the things i need to pay for this month  i did get some stuff on the bay of e - not as much as i wanted to. Then of course the problems started with what i'd soldFor the first time in a long while i am thinking of leaving someone negative feedback  i have never done this before but am just so frustrated by selling an item in good faith and then being told i'd put the wrong details - when i hadn't  i figure they've just changed their mind but what can you do ? - except leave the feedback ?
Well done on all your listings jwil !! You got loads done! Hope the sales come along nicely for you toSorry to hear you are still having days where you are poorly - hope you feel lots better soon x When do we find out if you are expecting a little jwil or mr jwil ?
LAM - have a fab hols hon and *fingers crossed* MOT is fine and that the horse stuff you are selling goes well for you x
retiredandskint - Huge congrats on your fab bay of e sale and good luck when you list the other items too x
jwil - it tends to get worse before it gets better - things are moving in the right direction with stuff being cleared

Hey DDFW, nice to see you again!
Grr to annoying ebayers though . Sadly you can't leave a buyer negative feedback any more though, so there's not a lot you can do when they are a numpty. DH got his first ever neg last week - it was for something damaged - and it was described as damaged both in the title and the description. The negative complained exactly about the damage that was listed in the description, that they obviously hadn't bothered to read
I've been in to the library this morning to try and get some studying done in peace and quiet. Managed some but not huge amounts.
We have the scan where we hopefully will find out what it is next month!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Well the update on my sale was £152 :j:j I'd originally listed as sending by 2nd class but given the value I decided to send it tracked. I figured better to invest and extra £3.50 and be safe rather than sorry.
I've not had a problem with feedback yet but it seems so wrong that an buyer can say or do what they like but without the seller able to give their side. Surely Bay of E must realise that some buyers deliberately set out either to defraud (parcel not received) or just plain malicious. Rant over
May all your sales be good ones and all your buyers angels0 -
Well I am joining the :eek::eek::eek: car repair bills :eek::eek: brigade! £362 for my car and it will only be ready tomorrow. All the brakes were seized / worn - MOT needed a washer, wiper and a new rear seat belt which is odd as no one ever sits in the back but its a S reg and hasnt really cost me much in the past and I cant afford a new car but still! Luckily the holiday and spending money for that is sorted. I am going to have to ebay like mad when I get back off holiday as I dont want to break into my 'special savings'.
Hope you are ok Jwil?0
