I do prefer certain things that are branded but thats because i have tried the cheaper versions too.
What a fab long break for you and just in time for the bay of e as well :T
Thank youI'm not sure I fancy turkey steaks, so will probably give it a miss this time. I should check it out more though!

Well the good news is my car didn't cost me anything :T :T It was a bit of pipe that he had contemplated changing before but didn't have any so he just changed it free of charge this time. Hurrah! Lets hope it drives better now.
I've sold another book on ebay and withdrawn £5 from paypal so that's good. That makes £17/£400 = £383 to go.
DH is in a grump so I'm thinking about loading the car for a boot sale today. The problem is, the stuff is in the garage and I can't get to it as the vehicles are in the way. (DH is at work so he can't move it) There's a bit in the house, so I might see if I can rustle up a few more bits enough to make it worthwhile going. I'll see how I get on.
Been eyeing up a few bits that I will pop on ebay later. I've been out and walked the dog this morning, so I think I'm going to head back to bed for an hour or so with a book before I start for the day.
Have a good one everyone"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Well the good news is, despite not taking very much, I did quite well at the boot sale so I'm pleased.
The bad news is, the sodding engine light came on in the car AGAIN on the way home   "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Happy news about the boot sale
Not so good about the car, is it the same thing all the time? x0 -
Hi everyone. Sorry I've been MIA but I just don't seem to have time. We've had family staying with us over the last few weeks and have been busy with not only them but getting the house cleaned etc.
I haven't had time to read back on the diary but I hope JWL jr is behaving himself and not causing too much sickness now. I did see the bit about the car, you have my sympathies having just gone through that myself.
My only news is that I stuck some stuff on the Bay of E yesterday, one being my OH's old camera (and I do mean old) and within a couple of hours I'd had email offers and now have seven watchers. I'm beginning to think the lenses maybe worth more than we thought. To think we were going to just throw it all away
I'm off for a read now to catch up on all the news.0 -
Morning hope all is ok x0

Thanks HI - it was the same thing last time, but not sure about this time. It's booked in on Wednesday so we shall see again. It's very frustrating!
Retired - nice to see you again! It's always nice when there's lots of interest in an item, fingers crossed you get some good sales. Even better if you were just going to throw them away :T
I still have some sick days but it's better than it was thankfully!
Hope all is well with you otherwise!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
My loan payment has come out, so another £324 paid today.
I sold a few items on ebay yesterday and so have withdrawn £16 today towards my target. I've also received £10 from a survey site so that will count too.
£43/£400 = £357 to go
I started some listings on ebay yesterday, only one on mine, but 9 on DH's. Fingers crossed for some sales!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Morning hope all is well and your feeling better
Well done on the sales, I wish I could sell some things0
