Thanks DDFW, my next scan is in October, and hopefully then we will find out what we are having.
I had my test results back today and it appears we are well below the 'low risk' line for Downs and other health issues, so fingers crossed that means all will be well there too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Ooh a little jwil or mr jwil!!! Very exciting and good news with the results too hon.
Are you sorting a nursery out now ? Have you thought about colour schemes etc. or are you waiting to find out if little mr or miss ?*squeel of excitement*. Looking forwrad to hearing all youe news and plans
Update from me is that i won't be debt free by my birthday no matter what - insurance is due to be paid before then so even if i didn't have holibob spends to sort i'd be completely scuppered.
hope everyone has some nice plans for the weekend - i'm going to attempt to make the house look like a home again - a phenomenal task  - if i'm not heard from send the search partyCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Thanks DDFW. No nursery for us - we've not got the space or the cash to do one at the moment. It doesn't really matter as baby will be in with us to start with.
The poor child will be very deprived and getting basics only to start with.
Sorry to hear you won't be df by your birthday - should be before Christmas though?
Good luck with the house sorting, hope you aren't buried under a pile of stuff"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hey everyone, happy long weekend!
Was hoping to do lots of boot sales this weekend, but the weather is looking pants, so not sure will get any done
I've had a bit of a tidy round this morning, and am definitely going to try and take advantage of the 3 days of free listing.
I've got 4 npbs open at the moment   hope some of them pay up this weekend. I know one won't as they complained about the postage AFTER they won the item - it was shown in the listing! I can't send it any cheaper, and certainly not for 1/2 the price that they wanted it for  It was only a 99p item too, so there was no scope within the starting price either.
Hope everyone has a good weekend if they are up to anything nice."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well I've sorted the first few lots ready to list. DH is sorting out some bits for him as well so we should have plenty to go on between us. It would be cool to do the 100 items each, but not sure we'll get that far and we've both got stuff to relist anyway."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hey jwil,
Babys really do not need much at all as i think someone else posted earlier. I know they'll be getting plenty of love and care and thats the main thing
I've sorted a handful of things to listbut am not in the right frame of mind for a proper clear out just now
The house is still in a bit of uproar - yesterday my time was mainly taken up helping others then i came home and had to put the house in some sort of order and clean a bit too after the ongoing work from ages ago.
I'm able to take advantage of the free listings again but was not given any advance notice of this so think i'll be doing the bits i've just sorted out and re-listing everything else
If i uncover anything else whilst sorting things out i'll obviously pop that on too
This weekend is going to be all about doing things at a leisurely pace though as i don't have the energy for anything elseStill, i made a bit of progress earlier by re-housing a couple of bits and chucking out something - not more than 5 minutes of a job in truth but i felt like i'd got something done
and it looks alot better too
NPB's are so annoying  i hope they hurry up and pay and double :mad: for the person buying something then complaining about postage!!
Ooh hope you hit the 100 items! With re-lists and the few new things i'll have almost 50 items at over 99p on. I need to do better!!
Especially as i've just been drooling over a new house - well an old house actually thats only a teeny bit bigger than the small house we're in and has no garden like we have and needs ALOT of work doing *wistful sigh*
Nope, i definitely won't be debt free by my birthday - even if i sell everything i'm listing unless it goes way above start price which is very unlikely. I [STRIKE]should[/STRIKE] WILL be debt free by xmas and i'll have to push a bit but should hopefully hit the POAMYC target too*fingers crossed*
For the rest of the weekend i'm hoping to go to the carboot (weather dependant) and visit some more family. We may also do a bit of shopping to replace some furniture that we're only about 5 years late in getting round toI'm going to do a bit of knitting and a bit of reading and a bit of walking and a bit of writing and a bit of planning too
Have you anything else planned hon ? xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
You'll definitely do it by Christmas! I can't wait
That's good news about getting the free listings back, and well done for the bits you've sorted too! Fingers crossed you get some good sales.
There's nothing wrong with having a leisurely weekend, every little bit done is a bonus!
I like looking at houses too - I discovered our old house is on the market again and I want to win the lottery so I can buy it backEven though i don't like some of the changes they've made (and they are asking way too much money for it), I miss our little house
I think we'll be going to boot tomorrow (not to sell though) and then the rest of the weekend will be mooching around the house for me, trying to get some stuff done, and hopefully I'll continue to feel ok.
I've got 29 items over 99p to relist and DH has got 42, so I'm going to see how close I can get to 100 items each including relists I think."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
That's the first batch of listing done now. About halfway to the 100 items each now including relists. Not sure I'll get there, but you never know. I might have another burst tomorrow.
I've finally got round to going through a load of magazines I was just keeping to look for recipes, so I've done that and pulled out any recipes I was interested in. That's a big pile done now.
We went booting this morning, I've spent my last few ££s on a few nick nacks. Hurry up payday!
I did discover this morning that the boot sale I wanted to sell at yesterday was on, and it stayed dry too . I really wanted to sell there this weekend, so it's a shame. It's quite a long way though, so a pain if it's a washout. Tomorrow's not looking good for the local ones either which is a shame. Maybe next weekend!
Hope everyone's had a good day"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Glad the scan and test results where good
hope your feeling better?
Well done on the eBay listings too
Haven't managed to catch up properly yet but as soon as things settled here I will0 -
Oooh! Well done on your purchases this weekend - and your listings too - how many did you get done in the end ? Hope it makes for some good sales for you too hon
I have a lot of things i need to sort out at the moment and these things are taking up my time so i'm not having the chance to have a clear out which would mean i'd have some more stuff at least ready to list should the FLW come again. I'll have to say set aside 1 hour from somewhere just to look at the items i have in mind. I have a dress i was thinking of listing and then thought well its both lovely and a classic style so won't go out of fashion - but the great thing is its crinkly material so i can take it on hols and not have to worry about any ironing
Take care and have a good day x
