Thanks Chocforever, Lam and DDFW, it definitely seems more real now! I've got to go back next week for another as they couldn't get all the measurements, but all seems good so far."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hey everyone, happy weekend!
I'm thinking about loading some stuff up for a car boot later today. Will see how that goes.
I'd like to get a few bits on ebay too and also I've got to get on with my assignment as well.
Sadly I wasn't the lucky winner of the Euromillions last night
I had a few small sales on ebay as well, so will get those packed and posted today and sold a book on amazon yesterday - that I was pleased with as I was contemplating removing it as it had been on so long and was quite a big book.
Hope everyone is well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Thanks elly, hope you have a good weekend.
Sadly I didn't make it to the car boot yesterday as we were out and got back too late to pack the car and go.
I've still been really ill this weekend, so am going to mention it to the consultant tomorrow I think and if need be go to the docs/midwife. The only thing I've kept down since Friday is half a McDonalds cheeseburger and a pasty. Think baby likes junk food  The salad and fruit I have tried to eat otherwise has been rejected.
Haven't achieved much really but will try and get some bits on ebay later and I must do some assignment!
Hope everyone's having a good weekend."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I did manage to achieve some stuff yesterday after all :T A friend of mine recommended travel sickness bands so I bought some and they've had an effect. I've also been given some anti sickness medication today by the consultant as an alternative to being hospitalised
Well, I listed a few bits on ebay yesterday for DH and I and I've made a start on my assignment.
This evening I've been packing ebay sales and will drop them to the post office tomorrow."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi All,
Jwil - what a brilliant recommendation from your friend on the travel sick bands and so good too that you have discussed everything with the doctor - did make me giggle a bit though when you said your baby seems to like junk food and not the healthy stuffBut i am glad you are managing to hold some food down and i hope this improves x
I am really sorry i have not been around too much - i've found it hard getting back into the swing of things since my hols and i am completely exhausted still - this weekend in particular was hard as i forced myself to stay up late to spend time with my mr and then it was my weekend in work which was hellish so that stopped me posting as i'd have been (justifiably) ranting
And the biggie ? I very nearly went overdrawn on my overdraft  i actually spent money on my card for my travel fare to work and the money wasn't in the account - fortunately i'd been paid a £5 postal order so i moved this over - then todat discovered that this hasn't cleared yet :eek::eek::eek:
I have no money - well about £2 within the overdraft facility and that isn't enough to get me to work
In other news i currently need some comics - beano, dandy, marvel - pretty much any which aren't girly i suppose - the only ones i've seen at the carboot have been dear - maybe these are collectable i don't know but even if they are thats not what i want them for so really need to source some affordable ones... and i need quite a lot of them too so definitely not paying a fiver each
LAM - you are doing really well paying your debt off :T
JWIL - well done on your sales - and did you say you were going away for a few days? have you been yet ?
Take Care all

Nice to see you again DDFW
That's a shame, we just sold a load of comics, booted them. What are you needing them for? I don't see them come up too often at boot sales, have you thought about putting a request on Freecycle?
Sorry to hear about the overdraft. I am skinter than a skint thing too this month and the van has it's MOT today. I've no idea how I will pay for it as well as the rest of the month.
Yes, we've been away, it was a nice break."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Glad to hear you had a nice time away jwil
hope the MOT wasn't too bad x - i just hate those sorts of expenses  - necessary but when things need doing it just never seems cheap!
Yeah it is rubbish being completely skint - i have some money coming in tomorrow so i should be ok as of then but its still  - especially as its been a while since i've been right up to my limit on my account and no money for travel expenses  I popped on my diary that i think this month will be more about getting on an even keel rather than debt reduction- i will clear target 6. But i had to borrow money to cover travel costs to work so i need to pay that back as well (not in my sig) i've also got 3 birthdays before the next payday and then 1 immediately after and then another 4 coming up as well - nothing has been sorted for any of these and i assume that a few of them will involve meals which i can't really get out of - (only because of the money issue). I also have my tax and MOT and i'm sure some home insurance is due to come up needing renewal as well. Added to that the meter reader was here the other day - it just never ends does it?

It never ends at all
The van passed MOT :T :T :T which was amazing! But then DH wanted to get a few bits done as well (which do need doing - including a new seatbelt for me as the one on there is fixed and won't be big enough for me and bump) so there was extra to pay anyway. It's still better than it could be, but I am completely skint and there's still more coming up.
The good news is that yesterday and today I've been feeling much better and haven't taken any medication so hopefully I'm turning a corner there :T
I am starting to feel more interested in doing things again, so hopefully am getting my mojo back now, hurrah :j I've missed it"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
