This cc could be the one you decide to lock away then, couldn't it?
Funnily enough it is the one I was planning on, so hopefully will work out."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Take Care jwil, i am here if you need me xx
I have had a terrible week - i am completely exhausted againSo i am pleased that i have managed to get some things done even though it wasn't everything that i intended to do
I also unexpectedly cooked a couple of new dishes today - 1 was so the food wouldn't have to be thrown out - and it was pronounced scrummyand the other was because my mr changed his mind about tea and i couldn't refreeze the raw ingredients so i made something else as well
Mind you the pot washing has been never ending
I did also finally get to plant out 1 plant i;ve been meaning to do for a couple of weeksAnd i finished sorting some clothes out for the bay of e - so at least some things are tidier then

Hope all's ok with you jwil.
Well done DDFW on cooking extras for the freezer and getting stuff ready for the Bay of E :T
I've got a 5' metal headboard that we need to get rid. I can't make up my mind if it's something that can go on Bay of E or not. It'll have to be pick up and I'm not sure about inviting strangers round. We've also got a couple of large pine mirrors and an old sewing machine (electric), again these would have to be picked up. Decisions, decisions.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.0 -
Hope you are OK, Jwil, and that your day was weird in a good way.
DDFW, well done on getting stuff done.
I had a frustrating day in that it seemed to whizz by without me actually achieving anything. Also, I've felt pretty rubbish all day, with all kinds of aches and pains. Think I need a new mattress.
On the plus side, I noticed the Book People sale and have just spent £29 on books. But there are 66 new books for this. :j One is a set for OH's birthday and 2 are reference books but that leaves 49 luverly books for me to read. Should keep me going for a while.0 -
Hi all,
retiredandskint - i will say its up to you about the headboard - i am never bothered about people coming to collect stuff and at the moment my house is in permanent disarrayMind you i've not had anything collected for a while and when i do i offer them 2 address - mine or my mums - seems everyone gets to my mums easier :rotfl::rotfl: I do always make sure someone else is in though so i'll go to my mums and she'll be in or if i'm here i make sure OH is in. If you are not going to a carboot something of this size seems like it would only be collection only though x You can only do what you are comfortable with x
Peaceandfreedom - i am so jealous of all your new booksHope your aching stops soon ((hugs))
jwil - hope all is well with you xx
Today i got up and went to the carboot - it hadn't been cancelled and it was dry when i set off - and then poured down not long after getting there  There were not nearly as many stalls there. I did manage to nab a few bits and my mum got lots of really good stuff. i am always happy if there is just 1 thing that i get that made getting up and going early worth it - and i managed to get 3 things for me that i'm really happy with and picked summat up for my mum too. My mum got alot of really good things as i say so i was quite happy that we'd got up early then
Hope everyone has a good day today xxCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Jwil - hope you are OK.
Retired - large stuff will have to be picked up otherwise it's far too difficult (and usually costs too much) to sell. When it comes to people picking stuff up, you can name the date/time - so perhaps you can arrange for someone to be there with you when the items are collected? Also, if selling stuff on ebay for collection-only, ask for payment in cash rather than by Paypal. It saves you some fees and also means your buyer can't subsequently rip you off by claiming a refund on Paypal.
DDFW - glad you got stuff at the car boot, despite the miserable weather. I must say I am getting very bored of all this rain now. Where has summer gone? Why aren't I sitting outside right this minute with a pot of coffee enjoying the sunshine?
Yesterday also went by without me getting much done and I also got really fed up with constantly having to run around after other people instead of doing what I want to do. Ah well, today is another day (and of course, a bl**dy rainy one!).
OK, it seems I am officially grumpy today.0 -
Hey everyone
Hope you are all ok.
Retired - P&F and DDFW have given you some good advice. I don't like people coming to collect either, but sometimes it's a necessary evil when you've got bulky items.
Hope you are feeling a bit less grumpy soon P&F, there must be something in the air.Probably the lack of summer.
