Hey everyone, sorry for the absence, everything has been very hectic, I've not been feeling well, and I'm still grumpy :D

Anyway, had a good weekend for sales, and both DH and I sold over £100 of stuff on ebay :T I'll need to update the totals properly.

So Sunday and yesterday were mostly spent packing and visiting the post office. They've actually given me a load of sacks now as I keep turning up with huge piles of stuff :rotfl: Hopefully it will make it a bit easier.

I also managed to list another 17 items on Sunday and hope to get some more on this week. I did relist a load too, and a couple of bits are selling now as well so that's good.

I converted a load to BIN as well, which frees me up some auctions for when the next free listing weekend is.

I've been contemplating a little, and might start a new diary soon, I'll give it a little more thought. Will pop a linkie in here if I do.

    Hope everyone is well :)

    Hey jwil

Amazing news on the sales :j:j:j

Not so amazing news on you being unwell and grumpy - i am here if you want to talk hon :)

I am a grumpy right now actually as just opened a message from an eb*yer about an item i sold a couple of weeks back - not one of my cheap things either  They'd like to know if i've had it delivered back to me ? As they had moved address but didn't update this information and so have not received the item  No, its not been returned and it was small enough to go through the letterbox :mad::mad:

Grr! I've not replied, i really don't know what to say to be honest :o and i'm annoyed as i am assuming i'll have to put in a claim at the post office for the item not being received and be out of pocket for a good few weeks :( Any suggestions on a response that don't make me sound extremely narked would be helpful :o

A new diary hon ? Are you thinking of taking a new direction / focus with things ?

I'm feeling a bit at sea at the mo. Money has just run away with me - grocery shopping is astronomical, then got stung for collections at work - i so want someone to do a collection for me as i'm not getting married / not having a baby / not having a significant birthday this year ;) Ok, i may just sound mean now :o :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:but it is a set amount that i've been asked to put in to each one and to be honest i barely know a couple of the people i've put money in for but know the people doing the collections, and also know if i don't contribute then that is a source for gossip all around the office. So i was £8 down after this  Then the gas and electrickery have needed paying :( and there is all the usual transport costs. So i set myself up with a spending diary yesterday - best to find out where my pennies are scarpering off to :o

If it were me, I would say to the buyers that I posted it in good faith to the valid address as given on ebay. I would advise them to contact the people now at the old address. (They have admitted they moved without updating the address - they can not possibly expect you to take the hit for this. )

I am also having one of those months where I seem to be spending on all kinds of unbudgeted things. I already keep a spreadsheet of all non-cash spends, but perhaps it's time to note the cash spending as well. I also don't really analyse the spending - need to find some freebie software that will do that I think.

Hope things calm down a bit for you, DDFW, and that you find your dream job and you don't feel so tired and exhausted. I hope you plan to RELAX and REST at the weekend when you finally get some down-time. :)

I must offer my usual unbounded admiration for your amazing ebay activity. :T

New diary - sounds intriguing. Like DDFW, I am wondering if this signifies a change in direction?

I'm with peaceandfreedom on this - it's their fault they gave the wrong address, not yours, so they need to check with their previous address.

Out of curiosity - did you use the paypal address, and not the ebay address? Or if you did use the ebay address, is it the same as paypal? Because for paypal protection to be in place, you need to send to the paypal address. It's not uncommon for it to be a different address from ebay. If the paypal address is the one you sent to and it is the one that is wrong, then they will have to sort it themselves.

I'm not sure, I think I need to refocus. I'm not really getting anywhere at the moment, and am just paying off and then spending the same money again :o

I need to review everything and see where I can get things on an even keel again, and start debtbusting properly.

A spending diary is one of the things on my list too. I use cash rather than cards, but seem to be frittering a little too much away.

I agree DDFW, I hope you get to take some time out and chill. I was thinking the other day, how I quite often say I'm going to do nothing for a day, and then wind up being more productive, as I take the pressure off myself. Sometimes though, I will actually do nothing, and then have a nice relaxed day where I do what I want to do rather than what I feel like I should be doing.

It was good I loved watching the kids enjoy themselves, considering booking another for after treatments finished. Although Im sure I need a weeks sleep after all the fun with the kids :p

    Hope your well :)
