Hey everyone, hope you had a good weekend
Still grumpy today, this seems to be ongoing
Got a tough week again this week, so it's probably that really, and I'm shattered.
Anyway, we cleared quite a bit of stuff this weekend which is good, and I managed to do a fair few listings yesterday so that will help.
We also got our quote yesterday so I have to try and find £250 for my half of the building work. It will be helpful when it's done though and the price wasn't as much as I was concerned it might be.
Made a small £13 pad today as well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well some of my listings from yesterday have bids, so I'm happy about that :j
I've also received another book to review so that's a nice surprise too.
Had a huge gas and electric bill though, not impressed about that, but I think we have had the heating on quite a lot so not overly surprising."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Another £5 pad today."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Hope you're feeling a lot more cheerful today jwil. Your list looks impressive :T Well done on sales and lottery win :j
Good luck with the decorationg brizzledfw. We cheated and painted every room the same colour and just used soft furnishings etc to add splashes of colour and to make each room look different. When a wall starts to look a bit bashed or mucky (small grandchildren) we just paint the one wallThe paint was discontinued but we managed to get several large cans half price :money:
Hi DedicatedDFW and the rest of the gang hope all's well with you.
I'm busy over at the Pensions and Retirement forum trying to get the best deal for OH.0 -
Hi everyone
jwil you are doing really well with your PADs :T Hope this week goes quickly for you at work and that you are back to your cheerful self soon x
It looks like we'll have approximately the same amount to raise for the house jobs we need to pay for - due to me neglecting to mention what i wanted doing with the adjoining bit at a later date and then realising this could impact on the job being done now!
I need to list loads on the bay of e in the hopes of raising money  But i am getting a bit narked with the questions from buyers after the listing has ended: ' i need to receive this within 2 days. confirm you've sent it' and from someone who only paid at the weekend so i am still within the timescales for posting stuff out 'can you confirm you have posted this' and 'i don't just want a confirmation from eb*y that this has been postedyou must e-mail me to confirm you have sent the item  Gah!
I suppose i'm just not in the mood and to them their messages don't come across as either blunt or creating needless extra things for me to do
Hi retiredandskint - oof! pensions - i have no savings and nothing sorted out for my retirementIt is something i do worry about but i don't know what would be secure enough to give me a suitable income in my retirement even if i could afford to put something away for it

Hi!
I've never read one of these diaries before but I'm finding it really interesting. I've got stuff to sell on eBay too (oh so many books) so it's great to read about other people doing it.
Good luck for the rest of the year!0
