Lol - at the end of the day you only live once
Where do all your perfume bottles come from? Have you kept them over the years?
I am the same DDFWI sit all day thinking of all the stuff I can / should do in the evening and then it just fizzles out.
Took a leaf out your book JWIL and downloaded another SIX books to my kindle yesterday all free lol :rotfl: One day I might get the time to read them!
I sold a few bigger items on ebay and added some of my savings which also makes me feel a bit sick but I really want to try for the lower interest rate on my loan.
Hope everyone has a good day
I kept my perfume bottles as I'd read on here that you could sell them, then I got given a load when I said I was going to try it. Then I had too many problems so I'm just going to get rid of them.
Well done on your ebay sales and woo to free kindle books! Yours will be full before long too
I'm another one who spends the whole day planning on what I will do when I get home, but the reality is I can't be bothered to do anything when I get backDedicatedDFW wrote: »Woohoo ! Jwil - if you've bought it then enjoy it!I've no idea what will happen when my contract runs out - they seem really expensive now  I figured i was quite lucky when i got mine its £22 a month - whereas before i was putting £10 on PAYG but running out of credit very quickly and i didn't have internet on it etc. Now i can get on the internet all the time have thousands of minutes call time included and thousands of texts too and as it was a contract the phone was free and i got cashback too and a gift which retails at £80 which i wasn't expecting but was very happy with
I may not be able to afford a new contract though when this one ends as i'm not increasing my payments
I'm still a bit  about the spend. My sim only deal I bought for PAYG gives me 6 months free internet and I think some texts too. That cost me £25. Once that ends I can top up £5 a month to get 1GB or just pay as I go. I'll decide that when I get there as in 6 months I'll have a good understanding of what I'll be using it for.
I'm very antisocial though and don't phone or text an awful lot hence I won't sign up to a contract."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Any Kindle is good - you won't go wrong with any of them."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well I'm suffering a bit of rage at the moment
Just had one of those :spam: phone calls from someone who wants to claim back my bank charges. I said I do not have any bank charges so take me off your call list. The operator completely ignored me and carried on. So I told them again, and again! I then got particularly rude and hung up. Normally I don't give them the time of day, but I've told them before to take me off their lists and they still haven't. I'm registered with TPS as well "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Grr! indeed jwil very annoying indeed
With the contract i'm not sure it came across right - for what i get for my monthly fee i think its brill - although at the time it was alot more than i wanted to pay a month (i wanted to pay £15 max), Now with the price of contracts i'm really shocked :eek::eek: Was looking with OH and the prices were more than £10 more and for less than i am getting now - not something i feel i could justify at all
I too may enter the technological age with an ipad - the need to write letters for jobs is so important and the time i could save with my ipad would be great - plus it'd be fab for my course tooBut obviously a big expense and no money to pay for it just now
:( I don't even really know how much they cost except for 'too much'

I very rarely get those calls but my FiL does so when I'm there I just say very calmly "where did you get this number from as it's registered with TPS so could you give me your name and company again to" and they've hung up before I've got to the endOr you could just put the receiver by the side of the phone and go away for 5 mins.

Ooops forgot to say Hi to everyone. Nothing much going on in my quest for a debt-free life and Eb*y sales have come to an end. There's only so many times that an item can be relisted and I really don't have much more to sell other than some large items and I'm not sure it's worth the bother.0

Hi retiredandskint,
Sorry to hear the sales are slowing down a bit. I'm the same regarding thinking things can only be relisted so many times before its time to get rid of them. What i am doing though is re-listing all the 99p stuff (some of it must be in the double figures for relists ) and the dearer stuff i pop back on when its FLW and when they'll let me use that againAnyways its shocking how some stuff must have been relisted several times and then ends up going for a good price in a bidding war. What i'm thinking is eventually i will have a carboot with all the stuff thats not shifting or possibly not suitable for bay of e - the bulky low value things etc. But at the moment i've not got enough stuff to fill the car so will continue sorting and listing things  With a carboot i always aim to have enough stuff to make about £100 although my mum said i should just try for £50 next time. i've always sold more than £100 and sold everything or charity shopped what didn't go. But as there is less and less stuff to sell i think thats why my ma said to aim lower.

No, I knew what you meant, I've never had a contract and don't want one, so I don't know about the costs of them. Do you actually use everything you've got though?
I think ipads are around £500, I've not looked too closely though. I'm waiting for the Kindle Fire to come out and see what that's like."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

I normally do, but it was just this time I was certain it was the same person I'd spoken to before, and they just completely ignored what I was saying and carried on parroting from the script. I think they just got me at a bad time"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Sorry to hear your sales have slowed down. It seems to go through periods for me too, sometimes I'll sell loads, other times it is so quiet. I have sold stuff after relisting absolutely loads of times, so you never know, but sometimes it is just better to get rid of the item if you think it's had it's day."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
