Cheery thats brilliant!
I must sit down and look at a 'budget' been saying I will for ages and I really need to.
OK £250 to the captain agian - but a £400 bill to pay on the card for the garage so that will be eaten up by that!
Comes in and goes out.
Kinda the way of it. Bit of a pottery day here - (pottering, not pottery)
Must walk the dog between the showers.
Have a good un - I'll be back as arnie would say........Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

We missed each other there I posted at the same time as you,
I really think you're tackling this is such a great way! Well done you and no hijacking merely chatting and musing.
I need a plan I really do - as I've not wanted to spend much/any of my wages we're still essentially living like we've no income which is great as eventually the OD/cc's will be paid then I will have to think of that pesky student loan.......
Its a thought though isn't it.
Mr F is talking about us buying a new car after the summer (well a new to us car) -which scared the life out of me - and he had to say - you ARE working you know. You can replace your car thats OK............
So that's something to think about. He's talking about trading mine in and getting a loan but if I budget,,,,,,,,maybe I won't need a big loan (or a loan at all but I'm not saying that outloud, we'll see).

Wow, good luck with that starnac. Search for old lace in CSs and CBs, if you don't have any yourself. I might have some up in my trunk in the loft....when do you need it? I might have to wait until DS1 gets home from uni on March 18th though. I am using his room as a craft room, and you can't get to the hatch to the loft atm!!!
Thanks for the offer keiss. Need it for the end of the month. I have plenty of lace luckily. I have a massive stash of carp.......I mean really useful things! DH is always going on at me over the amount of sewing/crafty things I have. I have been decluttering a lot of my stash and have been trying to find things to do with some of the other things I've got.
I keep saying that I will start making things in the evening once DH is home and kiddies are asleep but never seem to get round to doing it. Maybe I should give myself a good kick up the pen ol (bum to those who don't speak welsh!).
Pippi a new (to you) car. How lovely. I think having a budget will help you with the transition into working and getting wages. (don't forget that treat budget)Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Another one *amazed* by the card, Keiss, especially that one, its really beautiful. And ever since you mentioned Dorset buttons, I've been thinking about them as being suns on a card.
I have an idea too (for you) - you're looking at business opportunities, yes? Its lovely to do handmade cards, and there'll always be a market for them, but what you *could* do is what I've been thinking about, in another arena, and make a few really, really fantabulous cards, take photos of them, and experiment with printing them out, selling them at lower cost per unit, but sell *lots* more. Eventually you could get them printed by an actual printer, rather than by you yourself, and build your own empire
I've just been thinking
ETA - Hi Pippi, just crossposted - my word, that is a shock. As to muddling - well, its all learning experiences! Did you enjoy it?:D:D
Don't worry about your workshop being a bit of a muddle Pippi, that can be just the way of things I'm afraid. Kids are a totally unknown quantity at the best of times, glad you all had fun.
Still not talked to dad yet, but looking good about coming north last two weeks in April. Will connfirm once I know for sure ...getting excited already!!!:j:j

I run a youth club in Church so if you want any help/ideas give me a shout. A lot of the things I do I have adapted to suit the group (ie teaching the bible to kids from mostly non Christian backgrounds) and can easily be changed to suit most topics.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Starnac thank you. I think I was being a bit ambitious - and hadn't factored in enumbers - I can't believe the youth club get to buy such rubbish.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

We had some youth workers visit us from another church once and they said "do you always have this quiet time before finishing?" they were surprised when I said yes it relaxes them before we send them home. They just filled them with pop and sweets, wound them up playing games, then sent them home. The guy was shocked when I "guessed" he didn't have kids himself!!!!
Oh and yay to using the fleece xGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Lovely ideas and comments starnac.
When I ran an after-school gardening club, we always stopped 10 minutes before the parents arrived. We would then sit down on the benches (it hardly ever rained!!) and we would go over what we had done that day and what they thought they would like to do over the coming weeks...with my guidance ofcourse!
I would make sure we all had plenty of water to drink and I usually brought some fresh bread from the village bakers (pre my bread-making days) together with a selection of jams, jellies and marmalades I had made, for them to choose from. The children then would want to buy the preserves, so I sold them to make money for the gardening club!! The parents were most impressed I got all the kids to eat crab-apple jelly! Well, the children had picked the crab-apples from the school tree, so had an interest in how it turned out!!
I found having two or three interesting activities for the children to do, and getting a chance to try all of them during the session, worked pretty well. I only had 10 - 13 ten-year-olds, but it worked.
Just talked to dad, we may have to put a hold on my trip north for a bit.He is muttering about going away in April (but then he has been sayng he'll head off for a few days for the past couple of years!!). I will let him think about me coming up for a few days ("there's no weeds, you don't need to come up at the moment"!!), then I will try to pin him down to dates in the next week. He is just fed up of being at home and the rotten weather. He's not been very well either (nothing serious), he's just on one of his downer moods atm.
I'll let you know what we decide in the next week or so Pippi.

Not home til after 10pm last night (work meeting)
I may have to revise my plans - not a bother at all given how yuk it is......
