eeek to the phone bill sounds like a chat is in order to the kiddywinks.

glad your parcels and post didn't blow away, i'm assuming the chucks and free range cats are still clinging on as well.

Still "breezy" here too...though have a loaad of washing on the line...yes, it's still there!

Any damage around the islands Pippi?

That's the one good thing about having so few trees to fall down...though there is little or no shelter...so you are more liable to get blown away!!

  • Lt very true - I've seen both cats and the chooks but they are a bit 'blowy' - Kiess not sure of much damage around and about - its more normal up here to be this windy especially in the winter - altohugh this year its felt like its been constant - therefore as you know we aint got many trees and therefore don't get the trees etc blown over - but its yuk.

Kids will pay off various non-negotiated debts - by hoovering or alike - and skype WILL be used - whats the point in having a free thing if you don't use it??????

Thus far today - paid work 2hrs - and another two in a mo heading into toon to meet up with a chap from another recycling organisation
DW on, emptied and on again
HC ready to go on later - the house is air drying the stuff done yesterday
    Might need petrol?
OH car to town for MOT I'll wait in office at 'tother work and pick him up when he's in
Done some serious freezer surfing - we've quite a bit in - will be the normal milk/cheese/fruit we need this month - might get away with only reduced or HG veggies.
Eggs ready for a chum £1
Eggs ready for the nice man who gives us free chook food :)
Lots of recycled bags mangled up and into car - aim to use NO plastic non recycled carrier bags this year - if I don't have a bag/basket - I can't buy it (we'll see if that works)
Need to have a list and organise cupboards etc - stripey shop top up was small due to ridiculus weather and scariness (*outdoors NOT indoors*) - but I need a proper rummage and will look what we really 'need' - probably not much this month.

Begun to gather the xmas cards for recycling into tags, cards, postcards etc etc for all through the year and at xmas - great recycling or as the current phrase is thesedays - 'upcycling' - which is great and doing this for work too - turns out our local supermarket isnt' recycling them this year for the woodland trust - so I'm offering it locally at work - we'll recycle them. I love keeping cards (although I don't really send any - sorry) as I can see who to send things to throughout the year - and the cards are always pretty. Great for kids to do.

Remind me of this when I have xmas card cutter-outers finger and thumb!

Oooh, just got my new phone delivered - free and with £100 cashback!!
    :j

The monthly bill is a bit higher (had a sim-only deal on ancient blackberry before), but it means I will be able to check emails and such-like on the phone. Useful when I set up my online shop and website (before Easter...promise!).
Also, checking emails without sitting at the computer, should mean I have more time to do other stuff!!

Now need to ring the phone provider and get my old number transferred to the new phone...should have done this when ordering, but was too excited!!

Take care out there, just collected DS2 from college, lovely and sunny, but rather windy!! We had a few brief power-cuts this morning, but all seems well now...touch wood!!

PS, Well done on recycling the cards Pippi. I often re-use some of mine, but have loads collected over the years, so might cut out some I like and find somewhere near here to recycle the rest.
