I think it has been 2 weeks Pippi (regarding Frog lady). Would you share your recipe for Elderflower cordial please?

Hope everyone is well, off to do my updates.

That reminds me I need to strain our elderflower cordial. What's the best way? Through a sieve?

Glad you've had a quiet day pippi. How was the house?

I do it that way or if its a bit flowery still through some muslin :) can't quite bring myself to use old tights - my mother used to use them to strain the chip fat. Not attractive.

    Goodluck with that.

House was interesting - we've put an 'offer' to a smaller cottage in a wee village and are waiting to hear - otherwise we'll arrange a second view on the property we saw on Thursday - its closer to buses etc but still a bit on its own and has a huge football pitched garden which needs cutting (and I'm not a fan of grass) as this place is more expensive too - I'm thinking perhaps its not the one for us.

So, we'll wait to hear about the peedie cottage and then fathom a plan........unsure when we'll hear.

Wobbly but exciting times, I don't think I can do another winter in the current location.

    Hope you're fine and well.

Checked invoice and you're right - if I don't have a cheque today I'll text her - I need the payment in before holidays.

    Thanks

Well another full day of wombling over and done with - this weekend working is taking its toll a bit. But, hey I'm working and that's got to be good hasn't it. I've a cunning plan to try and move to every other weekend workign but we'll see.

Had some fun feedback on the blog which has been nice and an offer of treats for Peedie but I think there are strings attached! No such thing as a free lunch eh?

Twiglets are splendid if monetary drainage systems of excellence........

Did a wee PAD of £10 to Captain but until I hear about potential new houses - I need caw canny as I might need to find a deposit to secure it.

Its a money roundabout isn't it?

Timesheet done for college work (41 hours of mixed work) trying to get that in before the deadline to get paid in July. Which is Sunday/........its done just need pop it by.

    :)

Pippi I'd like to say a big thank you to you. My very first batch of elderflower cordial is done and bottled. DH and I had a try before and it's lush!! Bit sweet but I like that. Thank you so much for the recipe.

Our mini strawberries are coming lovely now although once again I doubt any of them will make it inside the house as DD has spotted them and has already picked and ate ALL the red ones! She has also counted how many are half red and how many are green so she knows to go back and check them in a couple of days.

Hope your house comes through for you.

Hi everyone? Is it as wet with everyone else as it is here?

It hasn't stopped raining here at all, at least I won't have to worry about OH remembering to water the plants whilst I'm away.

Pippi, its a pain when you're waiting on payment for something. I've been waiting 2 weeks for payment for something and at first I got a cheque with my name wrong. They said I hadn't told them but my text to them (and I said in a phonecall) was send payment to name, address. Wouldn't you then make the cheque out to that name (i.e. me) so I've only just got the cheque and paid it in, it won't clear till over half way through my holiday.

Highlight of my day.....having a fight with a loader truck, new suitcase and freezer bargains. Lol :o

Howdy Pippi and evenin' all ;)

Yay to the house(s) progress, that's great positive news - and good on you for having a plan/plans for all scenarios - well done! All the 'P's - it's like alphabet bingo! :rotfl:

If it's any consolation Starnac, we've had wind, rain and more rain today. The sun has shone about twice and then ducked behind the clouds again - sheesh, tis getting boring now!

Anyway, I think I'm away to my bed - just been watching the footbal and I'm struggling to keep my eyes open ...........
