Was wondering - is it used as a medicine KC?
Have just started reading a book about natural fermentation - facinating stuff - was looking for clues as to why my supposed yeast allergy doesn't apply to homemade sourdough bread or pear/apple cider???4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Me too rt
:rotfl:
Not much chance of me giving it a try....I don't like hot drinks. Except the odd hot chocolate, and ribena....and only then when I am cold!! I know, I am an awkward s*d!! Only just getting into having iced coffee...and that's to get me through the afternoon session of an all-day invigilation stint.
Been an odd day already today. I have made a lovely wintery soup this morning- all root veg and tastes scrummy...really need it with all this rain and cold wind!! Also drinking a nice cool elderflower cordial drink, so summery! Hoping that's the rain off for the day, so contemplating taking the washing off the pulley and getting it out there to get a bit of a blow.
Making some quiches this afternoon, as well as some burgers to freeze. Need to have a go at some gluten-free pastry as DS1's GF has a wheat allergy...wish me luck!!
Also trying to get some sewing and knitting done, so much to do!!!
Have a great weekend everyone xx

Hey keiss sounds about right winter foods and summer drinks! Hope you get the pastry sorted - I think KC might be interested if you sort that one as she's gluten intolerant too - Bere is often used as a very low subsitute??
Have a great weekend yourself - always so much to do as you're really busy!
RT - I had to look it up too - I've no idea why the yeast thing doesn't apply to home made stuff - interesting indeed.
KC I could only find 5 heads so reduced the mix for the 20 by 3/4's and gave it ago - its got the thumbs up here - glad you're potteringand having fun! You've got to take it easy though as you're still in recovery! (But I know you know that) glad to be a tiny bit of inspriation.
Greying I know you're right it will all come right eventually. We've been looking at houses but not making any decisions quickly and I might take a trip to the Dr's as I'm really not right.
Not ill not right, just not myself. Which might just make me normal.
Anyway off to check banks and have a mooch about
Have a good un - waiting for OH to empty car and reassemble drum kits etc in utililty room. He had a 'band' practise yesterday.smiles all round hope someone, somewhere isn't damp and soggy.

Been busy again invigilating today, but had this afternoon free! :j
Collected DS2 from the gym, he was signed off from college today, his grades are good enough for him get into Uni in September, so we are all really pleased. So proud of my "baby", he has had a couple of difficult years, but is now very chuffed that he is going to do the course he really wants to do. This time last year he never dreamed he would do well enough to get to do this Uni course, he has worked hard to get where he is....did I mention I was really proud of him!!!

Keiss that's so awesome!
Sorry guys works been crazy - as has the light!
Starnac - hope you're good
RT - I'm not but I'm working on a plan to be happier - which might involve us moving house (!) as the isolation is getting to me and the thought of me and DD in this rather large house is a bit of a thought.
I'm seeing a house today - similar to this, a bit smaller and nearer one of the villages - we looked at a village house earlier in the week too which was cosy and cheaper.
All will come right I know it will and thanks for bearing with me
Still waiting for FROG LADY to pay her bill has that been 2 weeks yet? I'm not sure.
Need look at my invoices - we're bookign our holiday today - not sure 100% where or the logistics but will see :-)
Hope you're all good off for a scamp about the banks as my wages should have cleared which means I can do silly PAD's again
(but not as silly as last week!)
Made first batch of elderflower cordial - OH a happy boy again.
Have a good un - banks to do then wriggle to get ready and see this house.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
