Quick - not supposed to be on sale till 9am
Thanks GG! To be honest, I decided not to go for it - the dates on offer are quite limited, and I've got a lot going on during that time, plus there's a big local festival I'd miss out on. Next time ... but I must remember to *play* locally, since I'm not replacing the away trip.Pippilongstocking wrote: »Happy Birthday Starnac!
Belated from me, Starnac! Your OH was out for a long day ... hope you did some nice stuff, tho, with your littlies
I'm doing nice stuff today - originally planned to go over to my sister's, since she and my mum would have been coming back from France yesterday. But my sister went over on her own, because my mum had the bug that I had (I caught it from her, naughty mummy!). Anyway, rather than just do nothing, or sit in her house, me and my sis are off up to London to go out on our equivalent of the razz - we're off to the British Librarytho we may make it to John Lewis

The British library AND John Lewis. What a lovely day. I bet you'll have a lovely time KC
Thank you for the birthday wishes. I had a lovely day although I was glad when DH came home. He's going to try and finish early today once his session finishes. He's got over 40 hours toil to take so they can't really say no. Then he's off tomorrow. A chance to get last minute things done for the weekend.
Today I plan to sort all the bedrooms out as the in laws are coming down on the weekend and they haven't seen the house (we've only been here 2 years!) so they'll probably want a tour. My mother would be allowed to see a mess but not my MIL

Belated birthday wishes Starnac for yesterday, shame your DH was away most of the day.
Good luck with sorting the house. I'm lucky, with my MIL, but I know what you mean...my SisIL is a bit like that!! Good luck with all your preparations.
Had a manic day yesterday, working in the sewing machine shop all day. It was great fun, and I even sold my first sewing machine :j:j I had a look at the £6000 machine working (pre-programmed embroidery) and played with a £700 machine...odd to think I'm being paid to do this!! :rotfl:
Then in the evening, my quilting group had a really inspirational and talented speaker..she put my little pictures to shame!! I came home with my head buzzing full of ideas. No time today to follw up those Ideas, but I have scribbled a few things down, so maybe when I have some spare time.......:)
Catching up with more paid IT work this morning (having a bit of a break, started @ 8:45), need to get things sorted and uploaded to my client's website before I head north. I need to finish some sewing this afternoon, then get back to my knitting.
Then it will be 4 manic days of getting everything sorted and printed for my knitting workshop in Orkney. Not taking my lap-top with me, so need to get everything done and dusted before I leave here...so much to do!! Might take a USB pen with the paperwork on it so I can make changes when I'm up there.
Right, need to get back to the grind-stone...going cross-eyed with all the photos!!
Have a great day everyone xx

Gald you had a lovely day yesterday keiss. My sewing maching cost *whispers* £1500  although that was about 8 years ago and it's still a lovely machine. The one I would love to have is a brother automatic embroidery machine but that's £5000   so that's a definite no
I hope you have a lovely time in Orkney. I would have loved to sit in on your workshop. You are so talented I would learn so muchGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

You certainly *are* talented!
I'm also looking at your talent in using the linkie thing - I'm desperate to learn how to do it, and I've never succeeded.
This is an experiment http://www.guardian.co.uk - see, how do you do it the way you do it? I pressed the linkie button, and it came out like that - I want to do it the way you do it, when what you see is "this", and it opens into the site of the speaker you had at the workshop
**sobs quietly into my tea**
Nope ... tried again, highlighting "quietly" and trying to use that as a link, but not happening ...
ETA - highlighted we'll see if that works.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Ooh, taka, you star! It did it! I'm very chuffed - I wanted to learn because of my new water website, and the only way I could link to my existing blog was a link on a dropdown menu, which is okay, but not brill. I'm a very happy camper now :kisses3::kisses3::kisses3:
I'm glad my cry for help got you to delurkhow you doing?

I'm good thank-you!
How are you? I hope your op has been helpful. I miss your diary!
I'm trying to get a tighter reign on my finances at the mo (so I have a chance to make my MFiT-2 challenge target in Dec) so I've been back on MSE a little more. I pop in every so often to prod my poor neglected diary back to life again and [STRIKE]lurk[/STRIKE] catch up with folks diaries though!
