Help buying an iPad 2 as cheap as possible

Does anybody know of any online sellers that may reduce the price for cash on collection, still preferably bigger sellers, but that way they are saving on postage and payment fees etc.0

Apple set the price for their products. If retailers started offering them at a discount they would lose their prestige. If you want an iPad then you're going to have to pay for it.0

You seem to be procrastinating so much on this that you're now in real danger of not getting them by Christmas0

Try the apple refurb store- Just google refurbished apple etc.
16GB Wifi Ipad 2 is £339. Full apple warranty etc.
In my opinion the 3G version is not worth the extra. If you need mobile internet get a MiFi device from 3. These can be unlocked (ebay) then use any pay as you go SIM. The MiFi device allows upto 5 wifi connections. So when roaming one 3G account can look after 5 devices (iPad, iPods - laptops etc). For those of you thinking it - I don't take all with me - but when I travel with my teenagers they alsays have an urgent need for the internet:)0 -
I am not procrastinating I am searching everywhere I can think of, I have asked countless people.
Apples online store have no refurbs in stock I check constantly. I am not looking for 3G anyway because it does seem further overpriced.
Apparently Apple do a 3% student discount for iPads although I'm no sure how true this is. I have also read about a recycling scheme if you take in your old iPod, does anybody have any idea about this?
Thanks for all the help so far to anyone that has contributed!0 -

If you're going to use internet on the go, then 3G is essential. Using a MiFi device achieves the same thing but that defeats the purpose. You've paid a lot of money for a sleek compact design and now you're carrying a device, the same size as a phone, to get it connected.
You can get a MiFi device on eBay for about £40. 3G built in is £100. I'd rather pay (and already weighed this up when buying my iPad) the extra £60.0 -
3G isn't even a consideration for me at the moment, I do not foresee a huge need for it and there is absolutely no way that I could afford the extra cost that it would incur.0

Does anybody know of anywhere that gives employee discount?0

Your wasting all this time just to try an save a 10% discount off the RRP, surely if you have the money for that, it wouldn't have taken you long to save up the extra £30 to get a 16GB wifi version (if that's the one you want)
Which if you had of done that you would probably have the beloved iPad 2 you seek so badly by now and you would at least shut up asking the same or very similar questions all the time:p
You've been told the cheapest place to get one is ebay, which I've seen them go for as little as £350 on there. then you decide to ask on here if the sellers on there will reduce costs to you if you collected!
Ask them, not us! They're the ones selling them so how would we know?0 -
As the poster above also said, if you can afford 2 iPads you'd be paying RRP. If £80 (10%) difference is a problem, pick something else. I could be completely wrong here but you don't sound like you're in a position to blow £800 on tech.0
