    Hi Pap!

I'd say don't get involved in anyone else's bills or accounts, judging from previous events you may well end up paying their bills for them in order to stay connected. I think its a good idea to get your mum to take the bt bill back in her name and pay her whatever housekeeping you need to, then its her responsability if the call charges are high etc. £18 instead of £30 would be great though, can you get your own line for that much per month?

    Kath :)

    hi kath :)

all the isp i am thinking about run through bt so... when i had aol... before bt i never payed anything but aol... however i would imagine mum would want me to pay 1/2 of bts line rental so it would be £5.50 on top of broadband... however some bb are for as little as £13/£15 so it would save me at least £10 per month which would cover my payg phone 100 times over...

i dont think sharing a bill is good either i just think it will cause me more stress as i would be worrying if he has payed it... also he has the tv so he may ask me to pay half of that too :(

i know this prob sounds silly (as it doesnt work out like that) but seeing £70 be taken from my account everymonth for something i use at £25 is a bit disheatening... just having this bill taken away from me would be great :)

£10 a month is worth saving! And then the bt bill could just be in your mum's name and you give her the £5.50, that would be good. If she gets into the habit of getting the money in from you and then paying the bill herself rather than relying on you it can only be good :T

If you don't use the tv then you shouldn't have to pay for it! And yes, less stress is what you need, especially about money.

I don't think its silly. Its a big lump of money that you have to make sure is available to pay the bill etc and it all disappears at once, perhaps if you were paying housekeeping to your mum instead you could pay weekly to spread it out a bit?

I pay £89.76 a month for my tag for the severn bridge  I know full well it would cost me £120+ if I paid in cash every day but I still hate seeing £90 disappear in a big lump! :rotfl:

  • emzig123, i am not back in work till thursday but i will have a scout and get prices and pm you back :)

kath :A yes so true... i just spoke to her and said i would give her 1/2 the line rental and she seems fair about that, she has just asked that i pay this months (due thursday) as she cant get the money in the bank etc etc, that seems fair :)

i am prob going to go on an isp myself, its easier both ways, i have however asked him if i can borrow his connection while i transfer, so i may have to give him £5/£10 for that but i dont mind :)

yep and it would make my money managemnet a little easier imo :) and :rotfl: about teh bridge, i was chatting about it today actually... i think its outrageous and yes seeing lots of money exit your account is sad :( whereas lots of little one seems better... there is something phcological about it i am sure :)

    Hi PAP hun,

Do you want your test moved?
He shouldn't really be damaging your confidence in that way, has he taught you any techniques to stop the domino effect.

I worry that he's being a chancer with you and doing it just to keep getting lesson money from you...

I cant see why thats led to your test being moved? But then again I know nothing about driving anyway....

  • ztd... yes i do worry and apprently i worry about other drivers more than myself  ok with regards to the money its not... but if i would have gone for my test and passed then i could have saved that £180.00

cafc girl... no i dont want to move my test but i have no choice, i cant do a driving test with nothing to drive in :rotfl: all he has said is i have to conerntrate on me and my driving... easier said than done...

deep down i think he has moved my test because someones failed and they rebooked and its 5 more weeks away, he dropped into convo last week that maybe we could 'swap' tests (she is ready), i have a feeling he is doing that... but he has shot himself in the foot as i can only do that day that week and the same hours... so if that means he loses my teaching for a week so be it... i have something planned that day
