I'm totally intrigued about this career move now!

I've asked for all money too this year. We have a £15 limit for each other but I can use that to buy £60-100 worth of stuff by being clever, cashback, sales etc. My dad and brother would get like 1 CD for that

gem :shhh: shall tell you this time next year ;)

ah we dont do that but i am doing baskets this year for everyone and they are nearly done and all the 'main' presents are around £20.. so far for the baskets i have spent £23.72 and i have 48 items :D

cashback sites and the freebies board have come in very handy this year, also look on the special occasions threads the xmas 2007 one is fab. i am very savvy for xmas now but the presnts dont look cheap but my pocket is beter off :)

Pap, you are doing so well with your holiday savings - what's your secret! LOL!

I don't think you WILL fail your GCSE - you already have a similar (equivalent?) qualification from what I can remember, and you will be so much more determined than you were at school, because a) there will be less distraction, because everyone on the course will want to succeed, and b) having had to pay for it yourself will really focus your mind :D

my secret? if i had one i would bottle it up and sell it on ebay :rotfl:i dont know really prob because i am living at home and my outgoings are quite modist really, whilst i do have some of my own spending money the remainder is chucked into savings. However if i moved out i would be able to save £0 and would prob end up in debt, i am fortunate really

I dont think i will either snaggles but you never know  i must say i am ready to do this now, in school and college (doing the equivalent) i couldnt be bothered but i can now, i am ready to deal with this and get out of my rut... may have to pop on here for some help though :o need to buy some paper etc soon  its truely weird, but i am looking forward to it, all i have had through is my enrolment details but someone i know is doing the same course so i will find out next sunday what info she has on it :D

    Bit random ~
Been having a clean out today as i have so much junk and i want to ebay/charity shop some of it... well i have found a cheque :T its when i sent away an 5 year old phone to envirofone... its only for 94p but every little helps :rotfl:
  • washer update ~ just off out in the next 30min to hunt for one... however mum has just won £20 on a scratch card  i know i know... anyway that means with the £50 i will lend her she has £220 (in my possesion i may add ;)) so i am guessing we could get something quite good for that :D

    Hi pap
how did the washing machine hunt go????
    Reduce,re-use, recycle.

  • just back ~ got one :j we went to currys but i said we would get one in comet... we brought a hotpoint @ 269.99 and in the end it was in comet, ok much more than we thought but the cheaper makes were not so good.

Anyway as we were checking out one of my old school friends came over and gave us his discount so we got £27.00 off :j :j :j woohoo so total price was £242.99 :D
  • oh forgot to add, my stupid brother, you know the one who expected me to pay for all of it... well mums oh brought it home while i tryed to look for a game i wanted. We just walked in and he has completely ripped off all the packaging  he wants to use these things but he wont help pay for them

 at your brother, but glad you managed to find a washing machine you are happy with.

Little tip - when you know your brother is about to do his washing, 'accidentally' leave a red sock in the drum, and hey presto - he has to wear pink clothes for the next few weeks...:rotfl:

    exactly... :(

anyways i dont know of this is a god or bad thing? i bulk buy shower gel etc, anyway i got to the end of my usual bottles ~ avon senses. Well months ago they had an offer on avon naturals they work out at about 30p per bottle, so i brought laods (7 bottles) but they all stink ewwww9dq.gif so they have all gone into my xmas box/hampers... not to self ~ stick to what you know :rotfl: so anyways i had to spend £1.77 today on shower gel because foam bath isnt a good subsitute :rotfl: but be aware some of the avon naturals arnt too nice :rotfl:
