Ooo in what? I want to do an OU course alongside my HND but I don't want to take on too much but then I don't want to be bored.
Wouldn't you get some financial help for that too?No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

:shhh: cant say but something that will enable me to get a job above the minamum wage ~ thats the joke part as if i fail my gcse i will not even attempt it. Something that finally i think i am good at and i can sit all day doing and it wouldnt bother meohhh i would love to register now however i will need to drop to part time hours because it will neead at least 2/3 days per week, and work will not allow that.
Yes i should do, but i havent looked into it, as my wage is so low i could get some of it paid which is cool :cool:0 -

Definitely work it out, they ask like three questions and then tell you on their site. Depends on the level of the course you do I think.
If it's a job you'd enjoy then it's worth going for whatever the money, the extra will be a bonus
You're a third of the way there already for your holidays! :eek:No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

Will do that gem, if i can get a small ammount of funding that would be great, especially as for taht year i will be on p/t wages  well i am sure it will be a job i would love. I guess i wont know untill i try but i believe it will be the best step ever. Also its a job that will always be around, forever so there is a 80% chance i will never be out of work which is good :T
As for the holiday funds ~ i know shocking isnt it :rotfl:i really didnt stop and add it up untill now... but the funny thing is i am just sorting out my xmas presents and they are nearly done, just aroud £50~£100 to spend now so that means the £145.00 as it stands now in my xmas account (i add £20 to this each month) can also be added to the totalhow fab... oh and i am asking for cash/smillies only for xmas this year, i know its sad/cheeky however i get so much junk that just goes to the charity shop i may as well have the cash

Hi Pap
If you are talking about doing courses with the OU when you are working part time you should get your fees paid up to £895 per year and also a grant of £250 per year to help with books etc.
My friend earns around 12,000 in her job yet still gets fees paid by the OU and the grant, she couldn't do it if she went to the local uni as she wouldn't get enough support.
Definately check it out:D0 -
I'm totally intrigued about this career move now!
I've asked for all money too this year. We have a £15 limit for each other but I can use that to buy £60-100 worth of stuff by being clever, cashback, sales etc. My dad and brother would get like 1 CD for that :rolleyes:No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Pap, you are doing so well with your holiday savings - what's your secret! LOL!
I don't think you WILL fail your GCSE - you already have a similar (equivalent?) qualification from what I can remember, and you will be so much more determined than you were at school, because a) there will be less distraction, because everyone on the course will want to succeed, and b) having had to pay for it yourself will really focus your mind"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
