Why would I be wrong? Read the rta. You can read can't you?0

I can. I can also comprehend in context, and have the wonderful advantage of having been in the very same situation. Private with public access != public place.The_Turner wrote: »Why would I be wrong? Read the rta. You can read can't you?
But please, carry on with your cut'n'pasting - as long as *you* think *you* are right that's all that matters :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Nephew did bad, next time (lets hope there's not one) tell him to take photo's of both cars THEN leave a note. That way the other driver can't take the p1ss with the damages and your nephew has done the decent thing.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

In fairness to the OP and the relatively sanctimonious rantings on here one's attitude to this kind of situation does depend on the attitude to their own car.
If you consider a car as merely a bit of metal which gets you from A to B (which to my mind is more sensible than considering it as a fashion accessory) then you're hardly going to not apply the same approach to others. Therefore a cursory check to evaluate the damage (showing it as being minor) is to my mind acceptable.
Do people on this forum really expect the police to be involved for everything? If a car in front slings up a stone and chips your car perhaps? Or if someone nudges your bumper while getting out of a tight space?0 -

I'm justly largely rebelling against the disgusted rantings of the masses. And I'm sure the police have better things to do as well.....0 -
I always park like this myself:

And a considered response to your point would be:

I consider a car as a tool to get me from A to B, but realise that doesn't give me the right to damage anyone elses property and walk away. If you think it does you're an idiot. If you consider a car as merely a bit of metal which gets you from A to B (which to my mind is more sensible than considering it as a fashion accessory) then you're hardly going to not apply the same approach to others. I expect them to be involved when someone leaves the scene of an accident, yes. And they are involved. If he had left his details at the scene like he should have done then there would be no police involvement necessary.Do people on this forum really expect the police to be involved for everything?0
