nb - the photo comment in a dispute isn't libel unless he also posted it in a public place.

He put it in the feedback and I think its a public place, cos everyone can see it. Am I wrong?
iconNeg_16x16.gifVery dishonest! Do not trust edits pictures to make item look better! Stay away!

Hi, I haven't got any answer or message from the buyer for last 5 days. What should I do now? How long do I need to wait? Can I close the case some way?

I've called ebay today and been told buyer don't need to answer any of my messages. I'm a little confused, but I have been also told buyer can escalate case on 18th dec.

What to do about claim? As he said investigation is on and from what I believe he can't send it back to me now, can he? How can I double check if radio was or wasn't stolen? I've bought radio on car boot and only checked Global stolen Radio Database: http://www.genesisworld.com/stolen/

I'm thinking about going tomorrow to police station and check that with them. What I supposed to do now? How to take him to small claims court and is it worth it?

So you bought the radio at a car boot sale is that correct?

Did you buy it as faulty, or take a gamble when you bought it, what did the seller of the radio say about it when he or she sold it?
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

and we should be deeply worried about that

Yes, I bought radio at a car boot sale. I could seen all the obvious faults and the seller said he doesn't know if it's working or not. He had a lot of "scrap stuff" like cables, leads, lights, old radios. etc.

So, really you completely misled buyers, by letting them think you pulled it out of a specific model car?
"Hi, I've got for sale Blaupunkt Fiat Punto RNS3 Radio CD with build in SatNav (with radio code). Radio has been pulled out from Punto mk2 02 plate. Should fit any Fiat Punto mk2, mk2b 99-05. I don't know anything else about this radio. I can't check if it's working or not. Selling as faulty, no return."
When in reality, you bought it from someone selling a load of scrap at a car boot sale, and they didn't know if it worked or not.

Why were you not honest in your description, saying you know nothing else about the item is untrue, you know it was purchased from someone selling a load of old scrap stuff, at a car boot sale, and you never actually saw it being pulled from that model car either.

there is a big difference between something bought from a car boot sale, and something you personally remove from a known car where the previous owner is fully traceable etc.

  • OP never once said he personally pulled the radio from a Punto - he said "RADIO HAS BEEN PULLED" - quite a difference, and no, not misleading at all - he knew the make and model of car it had been fitted in, and stated that. There is absolutely no need whatsoever to write a biography about every item you buy to sell on - so what if it came from a boot sale? It was sold as FAULTY and that should be that!! Can't see that the OP has done anything wrong.

Re your signature - I'm a Cameron fan and people undeservedly on benefits (ie my money, and that of other hardworking people!) deserve to be stigmatised!! Those genuinely in need obviously need all the help they can get, the others do not!!!!!!

Maybe there is a difference between both of them, but can you tell me how many people says they have bought something at car boot sale to sale them on ebay? I never seen description like that on ebay. Seller told me radio has been pulled out of punto '02-03 plate. As I know radio has been fitted only in models '99-02 and that's why I stated '02.

I also must point out the obvious that as you buy to resell you are a trader, and as such should be offering a no fault return.
