Sure - make a complaint about the feedback ASAP.0

No that's a waste of time. You have to present your case in the resolution centre. That's what it is for.
Don't talk about stuff you're guessing, the resolution centre can be done over the telephone and the staff in the call centre are much much more helpful than the advice in the resolution centre, as long as I get through to Ireland a phone call can often help win a case as the staff you talk to have much more power than you alone sitting typing stuff into your computer0 -
He started to be so annoying...
Buyer's message:
Had the picture analysed Yesterday which confirms the picture was edited using low quality picture editing software, this can be seen by zooming in no pictures, noting the obvious distortion in the pixels in particular that of the front of the head unit showing a very minor mark on the screen, infact this mark is much larger and significant. However due to the seller misleading the buyer by editing the picture I find this dishonest.
After I contact eBay I've got answer:
Victoria Nolan
I understand that. However, please be advised that this still doesn't fit to our criteria for removal.0 -
eBay should remove the feedback for 2 reasons, 1 - it refers to the Paypal investigation of his claim (make it clear that you believe it refers to the Paypal investigation and dont mention Police, etc), and 2 it is obvious libel in stating that an item might be stolen. That is equivalent to calling you a thief which is also forbidden. I would phone them up to discuss if they wont remove it online.
If eBay really wont remove it them you can get it removed via a signed notification of libel, but that's hastle and will involve you paying ~ £10 to get it witnessed by a commission for oaths.
In terms of his message, just reply and state something like 'The photo was transferred directly from a digital camera with no editing at all. This can easily be proven by viewing the JPG file EXIF metadata'. To claim that he 'had the photo analysed' is clearly BS. From examining your picture file I can see that it has come from a Canon Powershot A530 and has apparently not been edited other than a resize / crop to 10% of the original.
Dont get into an argument or emotional, or respond to his insinuations of dishonesty, theft etc. eBay will see who is being reasonable...imo, just winning this is what matters. Dont let the feedback and other intimidation bother you.0 -
Hi, a little bit to late as I already mentioned police.
Your message to the buyer:
"Two very small cosmetic scratches on the screen are clearly visible on the item photo, and are consistent with the item being described as used / faulty / for spares. If you were unsure if it was possibly dust, then the responsibility is with you to ask. Listing clearly stated that item was untested and therefore the status of display pixels was obviously unknown."
Buyer's message:
"Not a true account of item on listing! simple "
Your message to the buyer:
"Can you supply me with police investigation reference number as well as name of police officer who conduct an investigation. I hope you are aware the radio supposed to be confiscated as a subject of investigation and you can't return it to me to get a refund. If there is no investigation I demand you to remove feedback you left as it is a libel. Not a true account of item on listing! simple - That was a true statement. You can't prove anything was done with the photos as long as you don't obtain expert witnes report. That's libel as well. If you got expert witnes report I'd like to see it as well as I didn't done anything you are accusing me for."
Buyer's message:
"You are correct, you are also not entitled to any information, all information has now been passed to ebay. I will now esculate the claim. "
Your message to the buyer:
"You said I am correct you can't return item and get refund and libel me without any proof."
Your message to the buyer:
"The photo was transferred directly from a digital camera with no editing at all. This can easily be proven by viewing the JPG file EXIF metadata."
Now I am waiting for his reply. I also filled up sent back Notice of False and Defamatory Content form.0 -
By the way, he is wrong, you are entitled to the information more than eBay are because you were the one who sold him the item, not eBay0
-
I think you will win this, he is clearly a chimp.0

The whole 'Can you supply' paragraph didnt help you imo. He hasnt said anything about stolen in the SNAD dispute. I did say don't bite the bait there...0
-
Maybe it didn't help, but just wanted to know what is going on about this. When I called ebay today I've been told they haven't got any information about this. It's just annoying and I'd like to sort this out asap.0

nb - the photo comment in a dispute isn't libel unless he also posted it in a public place.0
