Why is your husband living off your bursary?0 -
ha, because he works and his wage covers the bills so we "live off" ie food, petrol, etc the bursary0

oops this is going mad keeps posting my replies too early...
sorry
we have two aco!!!!! one for DDs which is hubbys wage and one to "live off" which is the bursary account. works best for us, although hubby feels like he never sees his wage i suppose! but will be worth it one day im sure.0 -
If you all could take a minute and pop by the web page below, which is petitioning The Prime Minister to review the Bursaries that Nursing Student's receive, that would be great.
The more names the better - if enough names appear on it maybe then the Government will sit up and take notice!
Thanks Very Much,

Everyone should sign this - we all complain about the health service not being up to scratch and never give a thought towards the people who are actually working with our sick friends and relatives day in day out for very little money and even less thanks. Even worse, we vote with our feet every time a tax increase is suggested (although I for one think that we pay enough tax, it's just badly applied by the government). Well, that's my wee rant and it's bumped the message up the forum a bit.......why not stick it on other boards?
Edit - although I don't know if a £10,000pa rise is warranted, certainly a few more thousand is fair but if you ask for more you can settle for less.Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"
