If they are ''having problems'' with the Princettias then why are they selling them???

None of us have money to throw away and as these are mainly being bought as gifts of course the condition of the plants is IMPORTANT

I don't expect a plant to arrive looking exactly like the picture BUT with lots of tlc I do expect them to GROW into healthy and pretty plants which actually SURVIVE!

They didn't say they were selling them off cheap because they were sub standard plants or bulbs and was of course hoping they were healthy plants as have ordered from them before with no problems , some pansies died on me but others have been okay IF I followed the instructions and didn't neglect them! lol

Sorry about that - I thought this was a great deal at a great price and was hoping there would be LOTS OF HAPPY FACES from Nans and relatives receiving them!

Am I being mad for still hoping for the best even though they said there is a 'problem' with them??? lol

Some who's have arrived have said they are okay and look like they will GROW into healthy plants?

I think that is what they said? xx

Please don't feel bad, we choose to opt in it's not your fault if things go awry. Thompson and Morgan are a reputable company, I can't see them wanting to get on the wrong side of all us MSEers

An update from my first post, I received a replacement and it is lovely. Shame I had to contact them when the 1st one received was dead. I did not tell my mother in law he 1st plant was dead as I did not want to disappoint her, I can now send her a picture of the lovely replacement. Hope everyone gets their orders sorted.

i've just looked in my account with thompson and morgan and looked at my order history - it says there is no order history. does anyone know if this means that my order somehow didn't go through or that it has been delivered?

I contacted Thompson and Morgan and they said the following

" we have learnt that A week ago there was a problem with the temperature of the royal mail transporter from guernsey this Would have caused frost damage to the plants. Royal mail are investigating. This is an isolated incident beyond our control. We are confident your plant will arrive in excellent condition"

    We shall see when delivered

I ordered two plants on Friday, seperate transactions. Have not received any order confirmations. Is this normal? I also can't see anywhere on there page to track my order. Any help appreciated.
    Thanks
  • Are the twiggy style plants an isolated batch then? I have five ordered to five different people and if I've paid all that money out for sticks I will be so far from chuffed it would need binoculars to find me! Does anyone have the time from ordering to recieving please? :)
  • Thank you for posting such a great find. I love the Princetta, and it's a great price. However, I'm slightly reluctant now after reading some recent posts..
When would deliver be made if it was to go to Central London, and how can I ensure it is in good condition?
  • I don't know whats going on now and I think the best thing to do is to see what they are like when they arrive & everyone report back on here what condition they arrive in

Like I said , don't expect them to look like the pictures straight away , the do need some tlc but yes should be HEALTHY enough to grow on!

I'm not sure why lots of people are expecting twigs ... I'm not expecting twigs :rotfl:

Might be slightly worse for wear due to the weather or whatever but they were grown to the age and stage they were meant to be grown for dispatch this Christmas and just because we paid £4.99 none on us are expecting sub standard plants for ourselves or our relatives..

Lets report back when they arrive ;)

I received confirmations for both of my orders but please do not panic if you haven't , just contact customer care and am sure they will sort it for you...

I ordered two and they came a couple of days ago. Very happy with both of them and personally I think they are well worth a fiver! Plus you get a voucher for £5 off a £20 order at Rainbow Flowers too.

THANKS FOR THAT , maybe we've dodged the batch of frost damaged ones since it was a week ago! :D:D

At least you didn't get 2 pots of twigs , can I ask please WHO after ordering after my post has ACTUALLY received a pot of TWIGS??? Thanks! lol

Unless mine arrive DEAD I am going to kiss them , talk to them , water them and feed them and keep them away from draughts and ENJOY them!

Love watching plants grow and burst into bloom and the Princettias supposed to flower for a nice long while! x
