  • Hi Does the princiettea look like the picture or do you have to wait for it to flower? im not the green fingered type can you tell
    tia

I haven't received mine yet but assumed they would arrive ''ready to flower'' but if they have been described as stunning I assume they are flowering already! :D:D

The Princettias need a warm room with no draughts and not near a radiator either as they don't like fluctuating temperatures , filtered sunlight , not direct sunlight so reckon somewhere where the temperature is fairly warm and constant will be best xx
  • I meant to say in my earlier post. T+M have sent me pots of plants that I didn't order just before xmas many a time, with a wee note to thank me for my custom throughout the year. They would rather do that than waste them. They will be selling these plants off cheap to make sure they shift them. So they WONT be substandard. They are usually in full bloom on xmas day.

:o Just to say - we used this company last year and this year for 6 separate orders. One plant this year was substandard, we got onto Customer Services and they sent a replacement out straight away. So I would rate them pretty highly and would definitely use again. ;)
  • I've dealt with T&M loads of times. I really don't think people need to worry. Bottom line is - as with any company sending out living plants, if weather conditions change (like last year's snow) or the carrier has a problem, the plants will suffer, but this is the exception rather than the rule - companies like these rely on people using them again. I doubt that anyone will receive twigs either. You do receive 'twigs' when you buy certain types of plants because they are sold when dormant. These can look dead but do usually burst into growth at the right time of year. A few don't survive. That's not something a plant seller can avoid.

The Christmas plants aren't in this category. The pink on the princettas isn't flowers, they're pink leaf bracts so you don't need to worry about it flowering for Christmas. The hibiscus and others in the offer do flower, so they should be in bud. All you have to do is to make sure you don't give them too much of a shock by changing the temperature too much. Sticking a plant that has just been delivered by a radiator, for example, can lead to some leaves dropping. Also, don't kill them with kindness by overwatering and killing the roots off.

I've had to contact T&M a couple of times out of all the times I've dealt with them and found them to be very helpful. I also grow my own princettas/pointsettias and a lot of varieties of hibiscus. They're lovely plants. Hope you all get pretty plants and give them lots of TLC :)

PS - thanks to the OP - at those prices for delivered live plants, it's an excellent grabbit :T

Phew! Glad they have arrived looking pretty :D:D

You know , I love the POTS these come in which is also what attracted me to the deal , yes I could buy some pots , bulbs , moss , soil etc and do it myself but these are at the right age to flower for Christmas I presume so really they are perfect and a perfect price for me too! :j:j

I ordered 1 on Friday ( 9th ) & 1 on Monday , neither have arrived yet but am sure they are on their way to me now..

Thanks so much to those reporting back and putting everyones mind at ease about how lovely they are :D:D x
  • And REMEMBER we are saving up to a good £14 on each plant off the ACTUAL selling price of these so it is not cheap tat lol and some people saved even MORE by getting a freebie set of Princettias too all with FREE P&P I reckon it is an EXCELLENT deal for the price! :j:j:j

( Can't wait for mine to arrive actually , more than any other plants I've ordered from them so far , so they must be special! x )

Hope you get lots of thanks from happy relatives!
