I set myself a challenge of £2000 for the yr but just saw this so whats 12 more pounds. Can i join in?
I have sold some stuff on ebay already.
Didnt think of adding tesco or nectar point vouchers - so thats a good idea.
I am hoping to win some competitions this yr (never won one before), may be able to add that :-)

Thanks mennie for adding me to the list
I'm off the mark now with my £5 bank account reward and adding multibuy/bogof savings from my Tesco food shop. Waiting for a couple of small Quidco payments to be confirmed and paid.
Since my small bookshelf collapsed on Saturday night maybe it's a sign that I need to go a bit barcode mad and sell some books since they are evidently too much for it to bear! And I should really go through that big box of CDs that I don't listen too. I might copy them all to my laptop one evening this week so then I don't actually need them at all.
This thread has some great ideas in it so thanks to everyone for sharing. :beer:0 -

aaannddd the big one, got myself a little cleaning job for a few weeks, just filling in for a friend whist shes recovering from an op, but its £25 for 2.5 hours once a week, so £100 a month extra, not bad going and that will go strait in the pot!

Im the same only actually counting cash as to me the saving on items you would so anyway and much nicer to see £2,000 extra in the bank than just a few hundred.
What I am actually doing is if I use a money off voucher I would have spent that money but because it just stays in my account and would just be wasted, any money I have saved, I am adding to my sealed pot so that it is still going in savings.
With regard to clubcard boots points etc, how would everyone feel if there was a new thread for saving vouchers up for christmas and seeing how much we could all save in free vouchers, boots points, superdrug, clubcard, nectar plus money vouchers from the surveys etc? I am happy to do the thread if anyone is interested.LBM - 3/12/11

Sold a few things on ebay and made £47 after fees which I was really pleased with. Sold stuff which cost me £22 for £53! Have a few more things still listed but not hopeful I will get much for them.
Also called and got my £50 bank charges reversed this morning but am not counting that as I should never have been charged anything in the first place.
I did cancel my old mobile phone contract though and that means that next month I can send my old phone off along with 2 other old phones.
Up to £211.61 so far0 -
Just got a free polylope to send my ebay item from the man in the post office. Going to put that money into my sealed pot.0

Click here http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/clubcard/ and log into your clubcard account (or create one if you don't already have one). You should then be able to see any vouchers you haven't yet used and print new ones off. Some of mine were from a couple of years ago so yours should still be ok
Woohoo - I did this & I've cashed some in for a Merlin Annual pass, saving myself £85 ish in the process. Now I need enough vouchers for 3 more passes.......
Thanks for the advice :T10lb to lose & keep off in 20204.5lb/10lb:rotfl:0 -
Morning all.
xBuNn - £15.99 for a spatula!?! That's it, I'm off to Wilkos at lunchtime!
I also had an ebay sale yesterday - £22, not bad for an item I bought for £3.43 this time last year. :T
Ruthy1604 - Not sure you can reclaim expired vouchers. I had a look the other day and I've got about £11 unspent and now expired. Some were my Christmas ones from last year too. If you find a way of getting them back, please post here as I'd like to try too.
Hi Claire,
When I went to redeem my vouchers, I typed in the number for the expired ones & it accepted them. I didn't think they showed on the unspent section (but I could be wrong)

I think this is a great idea, I try hard to save my points/vouchers but always end up spending them on a rainy day...........so count me in :j:jDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0
