:oBeen a busy little bee today. Went and had a furious row with someone today over their firm's negligence only to be proved very wrong. I had to bow and scrape and back out of the door apologising profusely.:o
Did a bit of shopping at T-sc-s as we were passing. I hate that shop and all the people rushing around with such piled up trolleys that you wonder if they are feeding the whole of the Island.
You can tell what a good mood I was in! Probably still smarting at being in the wrong.:(

Did penance by cleaning out the undersink cupboard.

However, Her Holiness bought me a bottle of Bailey's which is my big December treat. I have a spoonful in my coffee all through the month and it makes me feel quite Christmassy. Just as well really. Julie what do you mean 'finish' your cards? Kindly go and stand in the corner with all the other plannieannies and don't make the likes of me feel so jolly guilty.

Don't know what we are eating tonight, all depends what defrosts itself. I will do quite well with a box of chocolates donated by a grateful parishoner.

LW: Hope the pain eases, it must be hard to bear. I've looked at the Statement Art and thrown it into the bin bag. I know it will be a loss to the Turner Prize but they must muddle on without me this year.

Just got home and found all the windows and doors open and everything has gone.

    Late afternoon ladies
Birthday greetings Bramble hope you hve a lovely day, also happy birthday noodles
BBBrrrrrrr cold ,wet and windy today. Thought I was going to be blown away when I was walking woofer this morning.
I just want to say a huge thank you for all the kind words yesterday. Andrew and his mum ended up staying at mine last night. A tad to much celebrating :o;). It was lovely to see them together knowing that they were at last safe. She has an appointment with the solicitor next Tues .It was quite emotional watching them putting their stuff into the car this afternoon , there were quite a few tears mainly mine I think. But they are coming to us for Christmas so something to look forward to. Ds3 is going to spend a few days there once they have finished school to help clear the brutes stuff out and take it to his brothers .I think he needs it as well as Andrew and his mum as closure.
Went to see my niece earlier first time I have seen her in a few days , she is looking much happier now she has settled back in at home. Going stir crazy with the bordem of not being allowed to go to school. My sister is going to ask school if they can set up the webcam links for her like my son has so she can still be part of the class.Fingers crossed she will be allowed back into school soon.
Now to get my house back in order;), just over a week till school finishes and I really need a kick up the b um to get christmas sorted. Its a good job they aren't little anymore.
Ds2 is home from Uni , :j:j he has been home since sat morning and I dont think I have mentioned him on here once:o. Its lovely to have him back. He has grown up so much and is so independant now. Have him home until the 7th jan so will be spending lots of qualitly time with him .
No os done today:o promise to get on with it tomorrow, did manage to put a casserole in the slow cooker this morning will go and make some dumplings in a min be ready for about half 5.
So my lovely ladies I am going to leve you all now and go and enjoy my lovely little family for a while.
Paul Walker , in my dreams;)

LW thanks for the recipe I am going to see if DD likes it, she is a vegetarian but a bloomin' fussy one  so it can be hard to cook for her at times.

Very blowy outside and it is raining fKB28AAAAASUVORK5CYII=.DS has just been out chasing the wheelie bin up the garden.

I was going to do chicken stew tonight but I am saving that for tomorrow night, bcause it is forecast to be bitterly cold, so I am doing sausage toad tonight.

I want to talk DH into taking me up to a local farm because he is doing 56lbs red or white spuds for £4.95 so that will see us through Christmas:D
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

That's very sad. Are you sure this is the same Essexgirl, can't remember her mentioning a baby, thought the children were at school.

Sausage and mash for tea with leeks and gravy, DD just put in a request for sponge pudding and custard. Thank goodness for microwaves!

Some of the tree has been cleared away so at least DD could get in from work and we will be able to get out in the morning. The gas bbq lifted off the deck and landed near the french doors, closely followed by the gas bottle! Thankfully it didn't break the window. Wish it would calm down now - it is a lot more scary when you can't see what's happening.

    Take care. XX

I have had a lovely day and have been spoilt :) OH has gone off to get me more wine and we're having a chilled out evening at home.

I have got £40 of amazon vouchers to spend and a nice cheque from my gran and grandad which i just realised I can spend on baking things! My aim for the year ahead is to really practise baking and enter the british bake off....

The wind has really got up here, i can only imagine how it must be further north!

Not sure what we're doing for dinner, there is the fish pie i constructed yesterday to eat. which may get frozen in 2 portions if we don't eat it before tomorrow.

have lovely evenings all of you! My drunken self may appear later xxx

I have also copied the nut roast, thanks LW I will be trying it very soon, sounds like my sort of thing, also hope you will feel a bit better soon.

Not done an awful lot today as I have been trying to finish this picture I have been Xstitching for a friend for Xmas, nearly done now so I can now buy a frame for it, I also made a couple of tree decs for my DD3's tree as its hers and new hubbies first Xmas (and she asked me to!).

Im back at work tomorrow for 4 days so wont get much done, but I have to write my Xmas cards that need sending, I seem to have lost track of where we are in Dec, and they must go in the next couple of days. My little DGD has done her 50m at swimming tonight, so proud as it seems a long way for a little one, and her and mom are having a Mozzers tea to celebrate:j
