Brrrr cold here and windy and this is just the Midlands. All of you oooop North stay safe please :)
Not much going on, H has next two days off, DD is still poorly with her nasty cough and cold. Plans for today are to write Christmas cards, do some online shopping for H's Christmas pressie, bake bread and generally potter about. Was up in small hours with BOTH kids, playing bed hop so feeling mega tired this morning. If DD decides to go for a nap later I might join her ;)

Tea will be cajun chicken and rice :) I may even make the effort to make some tortillas too.

Bramble - Happy birthday  Have a wonderful day xx

Lou - don't over do it ;) Gentle recovery is what's needed xxx

Beth - hope all is OK, haven't read yesterdays thread yet xxx

Hugs and spoons all round. Have a good day OS or not.

    Morning all.

Many thanks for all the healing vibes; they must be doing some good, as I've managed to get on here a little earlier than I've been doing.:o

I did have to get Mr LW to pour me out some liquid morphine at 03:30; but he'd got up to go to the loo anyway, so I wasn't really disturbing him.;) I took some more at 05:15, but *touch wood* haven't had to take any more yet. Hoping to last out til lunchtime.:o

    Anyways....

Hoppy Birthday Bramble :bdaycake:have a lovely day.
Dazi you sounded really down when you posted yesterday evening; would a Wolfy (((HUG))) help at all?:o

I hope all our OSers in Scotland have the hatches battened down - I was hearing of some frightening wind speeds expected there today on the weather forecast this morning.

OS wise here - Mr LW's clothes have been washed, and hung on the A-frame over the bath; not risking them outside, as I can't run out and get them in if it rains, just now.

And we're having HM nut loaf with roast root veg for dins - I made the nut loaf at the weekend and froze it in slices, and Mr LW has prepped the veggies and left them in water for me.:A

Hark! I hear a cup of coffee calling my name - I have it in a mug with a Chinese dragon on, that Mr LW got me last Yule.:D

Had to pop out this morning to buy shaving foam for show (custard pies!!), whilst in A$da, remembered needed antihistimines, discovered they have their own brand, both medication types, packets of 14 reduced to 50p, find one in the evening helps stop DS scratching his eczema in the night when its bad.

WM nearly finished so will put on airer before I go to work, dinner planned, sewed button back on DD coat. Just ordered DVD stocking filler for DS with money in Paypal that was earned doing surveys, think I am really getting hang of MS and thoroughly enjoying it, DH very proud.

Wishing a good day to all.

    Morning All

Enforced day off for me today - due to the weather the schools are closed! I was just ready to leave and looked at my phone to find loads of text messages from colleagues letting me know.

The weather is horrendous but expected to get worse! I heard a big bang outside and my green shed (one of those green and white heavy plastic ones) was in bits all over the garden. I have been out and salvaged what I can but the wind is so strong that it's too dangerous to do any more. The fire is lit as I am expecting the power to go off soon and we have electric central heating, but the smoke keeps coming back in, it's like a big angry dragon breathing down the chimney!!

Anyway, I have ironed 26 angel's costumes for school and will shortly be making the final 2 so work are still getting their money's worth! Washing up to date, there is food in the fridge (for a change) and I have sewn buttons on DDs cardis.

Beemuzed - your attitude is amazing, I hope all goes well for you.

    Happy Birthday Bramble! :bdaycake:

Hope you all stay safe in this horrid weather, Take care.

    Morning all!

Typed and lost my post, sigh!

Off to a friend's for lunch, so not much OS going on here today! House is pretty tidy, for us! Washing and ironing are up to date for once, and there is bread from yesterday still. Will bung on bm to do some rolls later, and whip up pies for dinner as forgot to get the beef out of the freezer to do beef in ale in the SC!

Big kids at school and college, OH dropped at airport and gone off with friend for the weekend, so just me and dd4 to sort out, she's just nodded off after singing to me since she woke up lol!

Only just read yesterday's thread, lots of bods needing hugs and good wishes, so sending those to all who want or need them xxx
