Morning everyone
Looks blustery and wet underfoot here this morning, but still dark so can't really see. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. Dinner last night was delicious stew, dumplings, mash and veg - and 1 small portion left to go into the freezer for another meal.
Was productive yesterday but day seemed a bit disjointed - dropped boys at school then went straight into town and bought cards and wrapping paper, came home and did some wrapping but then got bored so did a couple of jobs on the pc - emails and wrote a short piece for a brochure. So today I will be washing, drying and ironing, housework, and then hopefully writing cards - this needs to be done as most need to be posted and will go 2nd class.
DS1 birthday tomorrow, and we're all going out Sat night to another friends birthday, there will be a lot of people there we haven't seen for a while, so be nice to catch up, and we're taking caravan to sleep in so we can have a drink as will be able to walk between the venue and the van!! Haven't a clue what's for dinner tonight, have to organise something later.
Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

Good Morning Everyone!
Been up a while - and at long last I've finished all the Minutes and other notes of meetings which have been hanging over me for the past three weeks! Just emailed the last set off! Just one more really longstanding job ( involves claim form to get VAT back from major refurb pproject at church) and I have promised myself it'll be off my list by tomorrow afternoon. Then I might be able to start the Christmas cards at last!
Some damp washing still hanging around to get dry today. Have old friend staying overnight so need to get the spare bed made up shortly. hair appt booked for midday, so need to sort lunch for friend and DH before I go.
HH - so pleased about Your DH's new job - the saving on travel is like a huge payrise isn't it. Loss stressful too if no travelling. Any result from your letter yet?
Beth - loads of positive thoughts and prayers winging their way to you today.
((HUGS)) to anyone else who needs one - and fingers crossed that no-one gets hurt by all those high winds expected.
Take care All.Resolution:

Morning!
Thank you for the birthday wishesOH bought me the most beautiful dress. It's gorgeous.. But he said him and pup haven't had a chance to go to the shops to pick a card yet :rotfl:
Not got much planned today, OH was off to work at 7am as he's got 4 jobs to try get through today. This is amazing considering last year he didn't work Dec-Jan because there was nothing coming in. My dreams of becoming a housewife are getting nearer!
So I will make myself a nice brunch, tuna baguette and chips i think! Dinner is going to be fish pie as we didn't eat it last night, we had chips and dip instead! Healthy :rotfl:
hugs to Dazi and all who need them x x x

Yes I cook them until they are just starting to colour , let them go cold and then open freeze them in a foil tray, they taste like twice cooked chips when roasted again all light and fluffy in the middle and crispy on the outside, I just pop in the oven for about 25 mins to heat through thoroughly on Christmas day
I open freeze the parsnips with a coating of honey, that way there is no sticky mess on the day.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Dad has a scan on his arm today, he was helping mum change the quilt and heard something snap, he now has a huge bruise and the doc thinks he might have tore something which could mean an op, hopefully its nothing serious. I do worry about them both as they get older, anyway will be visiting this wkend so can re assure myself they are ok.
Need to finish my cards, like you nmlc most need to be posted.

Morning all
Have just popped out of lurkdom to congratulate your OH on his new job HH.
Happy birthday Bramble!
Painkilling vibes LW.....on their way.
Beth-thinking of you.
((Hugs)) Dazi and hello to Tappers JackieG and Flutterby. It seems ages since the meet in Birmingham last January.
A week tomorrow we will be travelling to see DD and her OH in Japan. I have Christmas in (half) a suitcase :rotfl:We will be there for 3 weeks and it includes my birthday. Positive vibes please so the earth doesn't move.
I am looking forward to someone else doing Christmas. DD is going to get a turkey from Costco as her friend did a lovely meal for Thanksgiving. OH who always cooks Christmas dinner is going to supervise (with permission and DD's relief).
Still in bed with laptop so may get another cup of tea in a minute...
Have a good day all.

So today I am still resting, because tonight DH is out and I have the school run, a midwife appointment, feed DS and get him to Cubs and then collect him. So I figured I should rest up now
Roo is in the oddest position, and I am in pain! I told DH the more I complain the closer labour must be! But Roo is really high up again, so I can't eat much, have heartburn and feel very sick... I have shooting pains in my lower ligaments going down my inside leg... Pregnancy was so much easier at 20 then 30!!!
Adalight I would also draw a line at the mouldy toast... but the rest seemed fine to me! I would eat it
Although while pregnant I have decided to go on the side of caution and don't eat anything out of date... But normally I do! I've had eggs 1 month out of date... if they pass the float test they are fine... and have more taste
Uolypool Andrew sounds like such a brave person. You are so kind to have taken him in x
