I havent had chance to read ALL the thread - just want to say 'please keep yourselves SAFE'! all you people in the 'danger' area!
I am in South Wales and the winds here have been awful too.
I dont know if any one else has mentioned this as a warning - but the house opposite me has just had those leccy panels put on the roof last week, and this afternoon I noticed they were lifting slightly on the one side during gusts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont actually know the people to talk to - so slipped a note through the letter box telling them about the panels. Its not something THEY would notice, but I can see their roof from my kitchen window and it worried me.0 -
We are being hit now with rain lashing at the window and gusts of 55mph.... Nothing to you northerners but we are softie southerners
Hope it stops before the school run tomorrow

Frugal hope you got something sorted for the gate......
I have to say that it doesn't sound like it's getting any better yet (if anything, it's slightly worse!).
Just been for a bath so am nice and warm and seriously think I may head off to bed with my Kindle & a hot chocolate before I get cold again ...... stay safe everyone.
Not that I think they'll be much sleeping going on if it stays like this (can still hear next doors bins) but hopefully it'll be gone / a lot better when we get up tomorrow.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
