No worries!
My original point, as quoia got, is that I can't believe people are bidding so much on this! Obviously it pays to read descriptions VERY carefully, though as he says about three times in the ad that you can also get the info for free, I don't think they can complain if what they get isn't quite what they were expecting!
Can't believe people can throw their money away like this! Be interesting to see how much it goes for. I do agree though, it's hardly in the spirit of ebay.0 -
RACHIE77 wrote:Its only an auction to obtain the 'sale of particulars' (information about the land) from the auctioneers, this can also be obtained by phoning the auctioneers for free on the number listed in the auction... Its a clever bit of marketing cos it is bringing big attention to the sale of such a small piece of land (cant remember if it was 12ftx12ft or 12mx12m??)
I'm not sure why people have bid tho, they can't hav read the auction...???
odd!

quoia wrote:In the context of the earlier posts and this auction "being a scam" it read as you'd checked the feedback and confirmed the seller "as dodgy"
Whereas in truth it isn't and neither are they.
Did you read my post about reading feedback and being a newbie?
Some newbie could be bidding for that. Do you know them by any chance? Can you vouch for their authenticity?0 -
Just looked and the bidder who is bidding it up has private feedback
and has had 25 bid retractions in the last 6 months

Does this make any difference:

I'm not really sure that I understand it.
The only stupid question, is an unasked question ...0
