Yeah its a link but thats not mainly what its selling, its under the guise of selling a piece of paper and then telling you where you can get that piece of paper for free - its basically just advertising the land sale - its one confused auction and altho its probably legit cos its selling a piece of paper (even tho you can get that piece of paper free) its not really in the spirit of ebay huh!

No it's not a link - The LINK is already in the description!
The seller will either email a copy of the aucton details or perhaps even send a printed copy (or auctioneers original) through the post.

Technically you can sell anything.
What you have to do it make sure you explain exactly what it is that you are actually selling. (and NOT rip anyone off)
All this is doing is telling people about a land/property auction with respect to a specific lot that's going under the hammer.

The auction itself may well only be advertised locally, perhaps within Devon if that where all the lots are located.
This way the advertising is spread far and wide.
Indeed someone from Scotland may be looking to buy exactly what's up for sale.
This way they are given a chance.

It wouldn't surprise me (in fact I'd say that it is VERY probable) that this piece of land is actually OWNED BY THE eBay SELLER !
He's trying to make sure that many people go to the auction an bid on it.

I understand that I just dont think its in the spirit of ebay - very clever I'm not arguing that and a good marketing campaign but its not far off the mark of selling something that it isnt - the end product of the listing is to sell the land otherwise he wouldnt hav put all that gumph in the auction, like I say its really clever and I think Sofa_sogood and I were just discussing the auction nothing more...??

In the context of the earlier posts and this auction "being a scam" it read as you'd checked the feedback and confirmed the seller "as dodgy"

The seller may or may not be "dodgy" the point is people have bid £510 on a piece of paper that you can get free from the auctioneers. He even tells you their number!
