maybe on the terrace, by the pond - if it doesn't scare the ducks!

A pond? How middle class. We have the swans on our lake dyed gold for Christmas. No idea how much it costs; the housekeeper deals with all that sort of tedium.

Says it all really. Christmas is all about spending time with friends and family. The fact that you're spending it in a hotel suggests you're lacking in friends and any family willing to put up with you.

To truly understand a winner, you need to adjust your thinking to think like a winner ...... did it, for one small moment, occur to you that we (the Family) may have taken over the said Hotel for Xmas?

I mean, come on, the women of the family need a rest over Xmas too!

And, to add to the winners mentality ... we have hired 7 lodges - to be together once more.

Think like a winner - not a loser - and things will become possible .... of course, if you are sat around a Tesco Value Chicken in your Council Flat on Xmas day it's hard to think how others may be spending their day, so you come on here slagging others Xmas days off - not nice!

Don't let other peoples bitterness and jealousy get to you MrRee. Some people just don't like to see others success and happiness. Enjoy your time and money with your family as you see fit to spend it. Seasons greetings to you and yours.

    Now, see?

    THAT'S thinking like a WINNER!

You have a fantastic time too - don't let the losers pull you down, they talk a lot but do nothing else!

Do you decorate your bedsit with pictures of all these places you wished you could afford. I like your spirit, despite everything being so gloomy for you, you still pretend to be somewhere better.

Do meals on wheels bring you an Xmas lunch or do you rely on charity for that. On the radio this morning they were chatting to the Salvation Army, apparantly they do Xmas Lunches for people such as yourself with no where to go. They will even give you an Xmas pressy, so you can continue to pretend people care about you.

This time of year does remind us all that there are people such as yourself in real dire straights. Fortunately for most they have a family that care about them, but chin up the Sally Army would be happy to be your family at Xmas.

No you dont. If you provided jhomes for the homeless they would be free.

What you do, is drain the poor dry, and rip off the taxpayers who pay towards HB. Id say your less than worthless.

    What?

    Are you in care?

I do provide homes for the homeless .... just because the Council pays me doesn't mean I am any less generous!

Think about it, for one moment lift your thought processes, the homeless ARE getting them for FREE!! My houses, provided FREE to the homeless!!

To be frank, you thinking I am worthless matters not one jot to me ... I see your sort everyday flipping my burgers for me.

You need to read up on how the other half live. I know you think a burger meal every day would be luxury, but in reality rich people dont go to MacDonalds every day for their evening meal.

You see ... this is where you get it all wrong .... you ASSUME that the Burger Flipping I speak about is done in MaccieD's.

If you thought like a winner you would have had in your mind a Cruise Ship and a venison Burger being flipped for me ......

Stop thinking like a loser and you will achieve great things ....

  • I stumbled upon this thread by mistake.

The fact (Mr Ree) that you have to brag about your "apparent" charity and misguided spending on an xmas tree along with the rubbish about your family taking over a hotel makes me really warm to you!

I cant understand how you find time to tell everyone about it with your jetset/millionaire club lifestyle. Why are you on a forum about Money Saving anyways?

I hope you have a good xmas however you choose to spend it, but I think you'll find it hard unless you have got someone to brag to/wind up!

my daughter will be one year old at christmas so i've just got her some little cheap bits to open :-)
as daughter's birthday is on 18th december and we are going to my parents for christmas, we're not actually putting up the xmas decorations this year. this will save money for the tree and will also save time :-) i can imagine xmas for older kiddies is very expensive...
