Thank you Premier for your post and we collectivly as a family will square away the bank my concern is that are Bank Smart entitled to claim payment from her as they concluded that the "Claim Assessment complete" with no reduction/repayment coming from the bank -
She paid the guy from Lawnet Scotland £100 of which we have the receipt and their discussion was along the lines of NO WIN NO FEE just as you hear on TV so why with no result from the bank should she now have a bill of £138 plus the fact she paid this Lawnet Scotland guy £100
I tried phoning Lawnet Scotland who say that they no longer deal with clients by phone (Answer Machine??) and only deal through emails and I have emailed them asking them to contact me on this situation but still waiting....:mad:
As I said we will square away the bank it's Bank Smart and the Lawnet Scotland's representative I grudge paying.....as they seemed to have taken advantage of someone.
Is there any one I should write to concerning this

Dear Podperson thanks for your question - she signed a form from Lawnet and I am still waiting on them to answer my emails - I sent the following email to Bank Smart:
Sir/Madam
I am writing concerned about this bill that you have produced
It has only came to light to me personally that she had run up a debt on a credit card and as of now I would like any correspondence to come through me as she does not do computers and this is the only way you communicate.
She initially appears to have got a visa?? card through the bank a couple of years ago and ran up a bill of about £1500 which she had been paying off at a minimal £40.00 per month and from that only a minimal amount was actually being taken to pay off her account.
A person by the name of Shaun Williams whose card showed he worked for/with LawNet Scotland visited her at her home and said that the bank should not be taking so much in interest or whatever and if she paid him £100 now he could arrange on a no win no fee type assistance - What he said was that if he successfully gained money back for her the £100 would cover his company fees if not the £100 would be refunded - that was at the tail end of July 2010 (31st July according to the date on the back of his card) - 3-4 weeks passed and she had not heard from him so she phoned the contact number on his card - 0141-649 -4724 and he said he would send a receipt for the payment (attached) a few months passed with nothing heard - she phoned again and Mr Williams said that there had been an error and the case had been filed without being entered into their computer system and he would action this immediately and said that he was passing the case onto his sister company YOU!! (Bank Smart) her client ID is +++++++ -
I have searched through the Ministry of Justice - Authorized Business search engine and shows your company as part of Symmetric Systems Ltd with the trading names of Bank Smart and Debt Smart no mention that LAWNET SCOTLAND is part of your organisation so does this mean that this guy Williams took her money £100 and passed her case onto you claiming that "his" sister company (YOU) were taking on her case?? I have tried calling Mr SHAUN WILLIAMS at LAWNET SCOTLAND on 0141-649-4724 but his company answer machine claims that due to high volume (presume he means workload) all business will only be dealt by email to which I have emailed him asking him to contact me urgently - (still waiting) I even tried through the internet for their web page and they must be really busy as their web page is still waiting to be updated - since 2008??
Do you know this company and this representative??
What I need from you is a copy of the contract signed by her with your company and I am attaching a copy of the receipt covering the payment to LAWNET SCOTLAND and to ask if they are known to you and are they allowed to "sell" or pass customers over to what appears not to be a sister company - I am not happy that this type of practice is allowed and will seek advice on how legal this is??

I sent a copy of the receipt for £100 signed by Mr Williams of Lawnet with this email
Bank Smart has emailed me saying that Lawnet was an affiliate member
and requesting that I get her to sign a letter stating that I am dealing with them which I expect is normal procedure but will this produce the contract paperwork from them ??
As far as the bank is concerned that bill is now sorted it's Bank Smart that I have the issue with as they recorded Claim Assessment Complete to me means they have done everything but resulting in no payment or reductions from the bank so where does she stand as far as the NO WIN NO FEE stated by Mr Williams and how does she go about claiming her £100 back - he said that the £100 would be refunded if they got a NO WIN situation
So where do we stand now??

Yes I must agree with you Master 33 - when you try to contact them it's their answer machine and they have not replied to any of my emails - they took a deposit and passed the info on now we are £100 down and being chased by the other company for more payment
Time someone sorted them

dont use these claim companys as they are con artists you will end up doing all the leg work they take 25% of your claim plus vat they do nothing for there money go direct to the ombusman0

Hello everyone, I have the same problem with the Bank Smart
I got a letter from them given notice to me with one of my four claim is unsuccessful and I must to pay them 118.80 pounds so I think I begin another scam, this time on me. I have 14 days to pay please for help because I do not know what to do
