I applied and was chosen for the Platinum card but there was no mention of cashback . I got the card and had to phone to activate it, when phoning i asked the guy if the card carries 1% cashback and was told that it does. I'll have to wait for my first statment now as its meant to show cashback earned on that.0

If you've subscribed to the online card facility it will show you, once you log in, that you are earning cashback under the "Rewards" tab.
For those who aren't sure if they're getting it or not, register for the service and check it out.0 -

When I asked about online card management they told me it wasn't available yet. I will phone and find out.
Meanwhile, I see that the Visa Platinum is now clearly available from the Citibank home page with the 1% cashback offer.

I've just logged into the online access, clicked the rewards tab and got the following:
Cash back earned this year £
Cash back earned on last statement £
Cash back adjustments on last statement £ Not Registered
Bonus cash back earned on last statement £
The 'Not Registered' is worrying...still none the wiser as to whether customer services is correct (they say I do) or not (didn't get extra Ts & Cs for cashback scheme)
Roll-on my first statement.....0 -
The "cashback adjustments" might relate to the fact that none of us have received the first statement yet - it also might mean any refunds that have been done back onto the card that relate to purchases from the previous month, i.e. you bought something for £100 earning £1 cashback, but then take it back the following month and have it credited back onto your card. They'll debit the £1 cashback off your running total? Just a theory!

I phoned them a fortnight ago to find out whether or not they offered such a service and they said no, but it was something they were looking at IN THE FUTURE. Is two weeks classed as 'the future' - and I'm sure they'd have known about a service that was going to go live in a fortnight! Never mind, its there now.0 -

I spoke to the help desk - they confirmed that I have a 1% cashback card, and said that I could register online for Internet access to my account. I've done that and am waiting for a letter telling me how to continue.
Some slight irritation with the online registration - the restrictions on username and password are absurd and seem designed to ensure that you can't remember either. And even when I followed the rules it gave me for a 6-digit pin, it insisted that I hadn't. So I've had to write down everything I told it because I will not remember them.

Hi all,
I applied for the Citi Platinum visa card about 1 month ago.
I received the PIN number about 10 days ago and the card itself arrived about 4 days ago. £10 000 credit limit.
I phoned the helpline to ask 2 questions:
(useful tip: use 0800 7837788, instead of the expensive 0870 option!)
1) Have I definitely got 1% cashback deal?
Answer: Yes
2) Is this 1% valid for only a limited time period?
Answer: No, there is no expiry date. It is permanent.
I registered for online access yesterday. What a mission choosing a user name and password!
All in all, I'm pretty happy with this card so far - although, in terms of the cashback, I'll still wait to see what my statement shows, before I get too confident !0 -
This card is still available, despite what it says on the first post.

The thing is - when are they going to pull the plug on the 1% cashback? Surely Citi (even though they ARE the biggest bank in the world!) realise that everyone else is cutting the 'benefits' of credit cards. Is it just a marketing ploy to attract customers? Maybe I'm being too simplistic.0
